Monday night, beat Arsenal at home. The following Saturday we get a draw away at West Ham cementing a 7th place in the table after 10 games.

Not a fucking mention.

Thanks.

Take it as a compliment, we’re not being patronised but judged on our merits.

I was more angry about the punditry - Jermaine Jenas should stick to his Jacamomo adverts - it's a dive but it's not a yellow, or it might not be a dive because he had a hand on his back. Fuck off.

He dived, and got a penalty, the dive was rumbled so he received a yellow for deceit - straightforward.

Wish these pundits would have the backbone to call a spade a spade and call them all diving, cheating twats.

Also shout out to 'England's Tyrone Mings'© for his awful performance today, and his brilliant goal line distraction. I reckon he's had 3 or 4 errors leading directly to goals now, and was spared another by the bar, bet he still gets in the England team ahead of one of ours.

They put a decent montage of the Arsenal game together.

why they decided on the Snodgrass love in was a bit weird though.

Barely spoke about our game and same with Watford Bournemouth game as well

I honestly couldn't give a toss. The pride I feel being a Blade right now far outweighs anything else. I thank the Gods (Woody, TC, Wilder etc) my late older brother dragged me along to BDTBL for my Confirmation all those years ago, and I wish he was still around to witness all this. UTB

It doesn’t matter really, we are a small unfashionable northern club to many, no history and never won anything
We are doing fantastic this season so far, long may it continue

I think they've been pretty complimentary so far this season. Linekar especially.
A dull 1-1 draw away in a soulless stadium against West ham is hardly worthy of the first game or intensive analysis

Funny I got the opposite impression of Lineker, I think he's a bit sneery, being a football thoroughbred like. Reality is I couldn't give a gnats chuff what he says.

I don't know why people still get upset if the media aren't gushing praise on us. On the game their was very little controversy despite earlier BBC articles trying to bill it as a grudge match, in fact it turned out to be a very watchable contest with chances for both sides. The only thing missing was both teams didn't take their chances it could have ended 4-4.
More disappointment coming for some next week because I can guarantee unless United and Burnley score 5-6 goals between them that us northern cloggers will be bottom of the bill again, that's how it works, always has, always will.

No football show is about apportioning a fair share of coverage to every club. It's about what the majority want to see.

Like it as not, we're not exactly a draw yet. I agree with MB, Linekar et al (and most on Sky) have been complimentary about us this season and both broadcasters did lovely montages of the Arse win backed up by GCB.

Compare them with the likes of Crooks and Mills....

The media have been properly bumming us left right and centre. Carragher on Monday night, Tim Cahill the other week. We've been getting loads of credit, and every fucker loves our manager.

We don't get too much of a mention after a 1-1 draw away against West Ham and some start kicking off.

What do we want to hear? We've been praised for the way we play, how good our football can be, our tactics etc. Did you want another dose of 'Oo look at little Sheffield United, those tiddlers were in League One a couple of years ago and they're having such a very good go of it.'

Grow a pair. 'They didn't say anything nice about us on the telly today and I'm so very upset.'

Man the fuck up, you sound like kids.

No. I wanted them to maybe mention the fact that we’d beaten Arsenal on Monday and then drawn away today. Not a lot to ask really.

Instead, they creamed about Snodgrass for 5 minutes.

You carm the fuck down, you sound like a twat.

Getting upset when you don't get the recognition you think you deserve and desperately needing validation from others points to you being either a really insecure individual, a teenage girl or a Wednesday fan.

No disappointment for me wherever we are on " the bill". My mood and weekend depends on the actual result, if we shithouse a 1-0 win for example, they can not bother showing it at all for all I care.

Question: placing an 'r' in words like 'carnt' and now 'carm'. Fashionable rhotic urge or non deliberate misspelling? I see it more and more in texts etc and genuinely confused as don't ever remember it being a common thing.

Anyway crack on

Wot ?

Why do we need ‘a mention’?

Enjoy the football and the journey. Who gives a shit if Garth Crooks thinks we’re basic or Gary Lineker doesn’t say we’re good?

The reality of today is that we played a fairly standard 1-1 draw, that’s hardly going to be top of the MoTD programme is it.

They showed an entire montage of our game against Arsenal, I can’t remember them doing that for any of the other teams.

Do you think? Snodgrass was one of the only players producing quality today. He was the best player on the park & there were boos around the ground when he came off.

We didn't play very well today lads. We rode our luck a lot of the time. We've received plenty of praise when we've played well, but today wasn't really one of those days.

Listening to Radio 5 before the match they were going on and on about West Ham's formation and personnel....you know, Arsevic should be up front with Tosserson, Bumfacio in the no. 10 slot....on and on it went, everyone had an opinion. About West Ham. About the Blades, nothing. 10 matches in, these experts still don't know who we are. They just go on about overlapping centre halves and how hard working we are. I dunno, maybe in a year or so we will get some of the respect we deserve?

Said exactly the same last night.
Pricks.
They can't stand it, and don't want to admit they were all wrong!!
Get rid of Lineker and give Murrey the gig!

Didn't see anything wrong with the coverage at all. Take your blades specs off and you'd notice

  • they did a full reminder of the arsenal game
  • greasy chip butty playing in the background
-commentator saying when you hear the GCB if it doesn't make your hairs stand up. Nothing will.

The gushing about snodgrass was fair play imo. He's been out of the side and came back in yesterday and was the best player on the pitch.

Complete fair coverage for me and some people need to untwist their knickers
