Nail on head. They're fucking desperate for Lampard to do well, despite being parachuted into two top managerial jobs that CW has spent years trying to achieve. But, according to Mr. Bleakley, United were 'physical'. Not United related, but I thought Jenas and Cahill were twats. Once again, the programme was littered with incidents where VAR/the ref. fucked up.

Leicester's Tielemans clearly went over the top on Bournemouth's Callum Wilson. Was it a red card? The ref. didn't even give a yellow card! But, because the ref. 'missed it', VAR wasn't involved. ;) I thought these incidents were what VAR was there for? Back to the studio and Jenas said it 'wasn't clear and obvious'. Like fuck it wasn;t.

West Ham v Norwich and the Hammers' Haller flattened Norwich's Zimmermann. Zimmermann was eventually helped off the field and - while Norwich were down to 10 men - West Ham scored. Once again, the ref. 'didn't see' the incident. The verdict from Jenas? The goal 'was Zimmermann's fault. He had a duty to get off the field to be replaced...' Nothing to do with Haller deliberately putting him out of the game then, Jenas? You cunt.

Zimmermann left the stadium on crutches with his right foot in a protective boot as he headed to hospital for scans on the ankle injury suffered in the lunging first half challenge from West Ham striker Sebastien Haller, that went unpunished by the officials.

Later, Haller was flattened for a clear penalty to West Ham - so clear that even Jenas, Cahill and the crisp salesman said so. But the ref. said no. Refs. are getting worse, and VAR is letting them get away with it.

I thought the Norwich manager showed extreme stress in his interview, the bloke's wound up like a spring already.

Another one from MoTD yesterday (there are so many VAR fuck ups it's hard to keep track.)

While I've no time for Villa, Grealish or Dean Smith, they were robbed of a late equaliser at Palace. The goal was ruled out because Grealish was adjudged to have dived in Palace's area before the goal went in. If so, why didn't the ref. blow before the ball went in. MoTD replayed the incident (even Lineker said 'I'll be quiet for a minute...') and a whistle did blow. But was it from the ref? Even Linker showed the ref's hand never moved towards his mouth. This incident was described in the studio as 'outrageous' but they wouldn't go any further because being a conformist lickspittle is in their BBC contracts.

So thousands of Villa fans went home knowing they'd been robbed out of a point. It'll be our turn before long.

just seen it for first time.. Hendo was fouled.. their lad follows through on him with his left foot.. that’s why he dropped the ball
Both of those are correct in my opinion. It was a foul but a goalkeeper should go and take everything in his way as well

I agree I said it at the time of seeing it I thought it was a foul. I've watched it back and still think it is a foul minimal but still a foul and caused Henderson to drop the ball. He should have still done better with it in my opinion but I think if it was the other way around they would have give it to Chelsea and goal would have been disallowed.

ohhh booo hooo poor old chelski with all their money they spent over the years, can't sign anyone, having to start with youngsters....booo ferking hooo....get ferking stuffed FLCP

I get annoyed as fuck with some of the lazy punditry I see flying about.

It seems to be that the pundits who actually know what they are about are the ones who are willing to stick their necks out and praise us for our style of play and tip us to do well, whilst the other ones who are lazy and revert to lazy assumptions are the ones who are quickest to write us off. Yesterdays prime example was that know nowt Garth Crooks who has 10 years more as a pundit than his punditry should have afforded him and been put out to pasture years ago.

It is a little bit like our little band of Shoutbox empty vessels.

Not bothered where we are int pecking order. Suits us and Wilder to keep up the image of us as a L1 club lucky to be where we are. Keeps the ambivalence of other clubs in their approach to us. Yesterday was a reyt test away, top 6 club, strong team selection, gave em a 2 goals lead but got a result. Shows we are not out of our depth in PL and that’s the message from Wilder to players. And maybe himself.

Motd waste too much time with pundits.
The Bundesliga highlights on German tv are first class, very little taking and more of the games.
I've mostly switched off listening to pundits as they very rarely add any insight.

I wonder if Motd only have right to so many minutes so just pad out the time.
Last night they were fair about us but nothing I couldn't have heard in the pub to be honest

Nothing to do with us, but the coverage of the Laporte injury annoyed me.

He injured himself attempting the same sneaky fucking foul that City keep doing (they generally outfoul their opponents despite dominating possession) and all that twat Jenas could say was that Rodri should have fouled the Bournemouth lad earlier in the move. Deliberate fouls are cheating, pure and simple. No wonder diving is so common, if teams like the might Man City are encouraged to bring opponents down as quickly as possible to stop attacks.

I'm glad in this instance it's come back to bite City in the arse.

There’ll be a million threads next week moaning that they’ve not hailed all our international players as the best players in the world and given them enough credit for Scotland/Ireland grinding out a great result against some country ending in ‘ia’ that only came into existence last year.

There are some right moaning cunts on here.
Like you moaning with these posts? Who gives a flying fuck, we got a great point at Chelsea and it was a brilliant day for me. Hope you enjoyed your Saturday night ffs.

I once heard (this could be rubbish) that there can't be more than 9 minutes of highlights per game.

They’ve got to have a narrative and this year’s is the top 2 shootout between City and Liverpool (and rightly so given their respective records over the last year).
If we keep bloodying the noses of the “big boys” we’ll work our way up the running order.
For example, Leicester won’t have been first on at the start of their title winning season - they played their way into becoming the main story.
Last year our fight with Leeds for 2nd spot became the main story in the Championship and the focus was squarely on us during the run-in, despite Narwich sitting pretty at the top.
The running orders reflect the drama and the public interest - it’s nothing personal!

Also, there were 8 Saturday Prem games which is a rarity these days - a lot of games to get through and the analysis was actually very brief for all matches.
There’s loads of places to get analysis and punditry these days (podcasts/twitter/YouTube/Goals on Sunday/Print Press/radio etc) so I’m glad MOTD choose to focus on the action.

Sky had our game as 'match choice' so replayed the full 90 mins at the same time as motd was on.

Not concerned about the running order on MOTD etc, just that wage thief Lineker who cocked up again calling Grealish Tim Cahill, that after calling us We******ay

Because quest = championship. Motd = Premier League.

I thought that's what you were getting at. Not a comment on the quality of the programmes/analysis at all, really.

The program on Quest is excellent and has raised the bar. MOTD is fucking dreadful and needs to up its game. No reason why PL fans should have to keep watching overpaid people talking bollocks when there are genuinely knowledgeable and passionate people doing a much better job.

Before all you Wednesdayite blades forum watchers accuse me of small club syndrome bollocks , the issue I've got is jenus comes out with " they look a championship team" and then Tim fucking Cahill comes out with " FL doing a brilliant job" . Hang on he's got a 200 million midfield and they are below us in the table .
Credit wheres credit is due in my book and CWAK are getting none apart from on here .
UTB
To be fair mate he said we "looked like a Championship side first half" but flew out of the blocks second, started playing with our usual confidence. I thought it was fair comment. Chelsea dominated because we gave them way too much respect by not closing down the way we usually do particularly in midfield.

Of all the pundits,Jenas is one that has clearly watched us and knows what we are about, hence his evaluation. He knows we are much much better than the first half showing. Not the first time he has been balanced in his reviews.

Given the media's agenda driven coverage I don't think we need to be too precious about what's said. ;).

I thought we liked being the underdog? or would you rather we were Massive?

They can keep running us down, keep calling us a championship team, keep calling our style physical ,they can put us on MOTD last simply because we're not fashionable because that suits us down to the ground, apart from the more astute 10% of pundits we'll just keep competing and picking up points till the penny drops with these self serving leaches.

Wilders full interview yesterday was superb, dare I say clough esk.

Yet another fucking chip on shoulder op.
Ffs grow the fuck up.
We seem to have a decent sized group of fans who are incredibly easily offended and upset by the slightest perceived knock against the club.
Lineker saying Wednesday when one of this number told him specifically how we should be addressed. Running orders, us not getting the credit we deserve, pre-season predictions yada yada yada.
Who the fuck needs credit anyway, we never used to get it? I’d rather we just play and pick up as many points as we deserve and I’ll know how good we were. I’ll also know how full of shit so called pundits, other fans and experts are and I’ll legitimately laugh my arse off at them.
We’ve a seemingly growing collection of right over sensitive fannies who need constant and relentless external verification to firm up their flaky belief in our club. Fuck off!
