We’re witnessing managed decline right in front of our eyes, the owners only share statements that say nothing, they’re a rinse and repeat from over a year now.

Whilst they’re aren’t gonna say the game x amount to invest (no club does that) their actions or lack of them tells the story.

We’re in decline, and also possible financial troubles, the was borne out by wilders pre match, there is zero plans for player investment.

Is it time to put pressure on, or do we just bury our heads in the sand like the pigs did and wait before it’s too late.

CW said the opposite in his press conference. If he is wrong then we are right to give informed criticism.
As with all discussions having the facts helps enormously.

I don't even know what player investment means.

To most fans around the country it just seems to mean the owner(s) spending a lot of their own money and moaning if those punts don't come off.

If it meant signing genuinely promising players at low-cost (transfer fee and salary) in the hope of developing them I could get onboard with player investment.

But the only players we sign under our back-to-the-future management are 30+ crocks because.... experience or something.

So we're better off without player investment, whatever it is. We've always been better at selling than buying and we've always been shite at selling.

This is our identity and why all of us are always so flaming miserable.

Unfortunately there are two factors playing out simultaneously;

1 - Ownership issues (ie do they have the funds, legal stuff, poorly run club)

2 - Parachute payments ending with a bloated and over paid squad

If it was only factor '2' at play it'd be a lot easier to digest and have confidence that we could navigate it.

If we're all sensible, with parachute payments running out, offloading your Hamers/Pecks/Campbells/Cannons is needed and to some extent can't be avoided to balance books and meet the rules. Unfortunately having others like McGuinness/Chong/Rothwell make it even more complicated.

If we had steady, knowledgeable, reliable owners I think our panic and anger/frustration would be negated. However...we don't.

The lack of confidence in how we are approaching the rebuild is what is worrying.
