I agree and the sooner god realises this and reinstates us the better.
I realise it, i'm just busy sorting out war and famine at the moment. I'll get us back there soon

or alternatively both sides might be flying high and the Category A priced tickets will be like gold dust.
It seems like the only deal that would make some people happy is a free ST and a private limo to and from each match.
Something seems a bit odd about the way they are deliberately trying to turn fans away but at the same time looking to secure as much income as soon as possible by attempting to hold a gun to fans' heads. Beginning to wonder if there might be some severe financial problems at the Lane.
When Neil Warnock first became manager,he came on the radio and was quoted in the Sheffield Star as saying we needed 16K plus so many hundred gates just to break even.
That was in 1999. !
What is the break even figure now ? I am pitching it is higher than that.
If the club are serious about all season tickets bought from now are at the higher price (in the midst of a serious recession)they are gonna be pretty well a lot more fucked financially by the end of the season than they are now.
I have not renewed yet. In fact I have never renewed on deadline day and always had the the pre deadline day deal. I expect I will renew but at the lower pre deadline day deal.
If the club want more then they will not get a penny from me,not just this season but I expect for a lot of seasons as I will probably drift away,as most fans seem to disappear for more than one season. I think once customers walk away they are not easily brought back into the field.
United desparately need all the renewals they can get and lets face it how many businesses get paid a year in advance before they produce. I wish I could work my budget out the way football clubs get to do it.
The cost of the ticket is no issue to me and the time is no issue I am lucky, to some it is a serious struggle and the club do not seem to appreciate that fact. I would guess a few thousand fans right now would love to renew but do not immediately have the finance in place to do so.
I think a serious word from Mr McCabe on the OS is not to much to expect. He has failed us massively and we are now in a far worse position than when he took over. "Europe in five years" I seem to remember was touted about as well as this seasons classic "we won't go down".
Whoever is doing the job of selling the club to the fans is not very good at what he is doing.
United need to hold the price at the lower levels and invite people to maybe pay a deposit now and in full maybe the week before the season starts. I reckon that way, once peeople have accepted relegation, had their summer hols and come back refreshed, the gates wouldn't be to much down on last season.
McCabe seiously needs to come out now and speak to the fans, pledge the prices will be held or they risk losing 5/6 thousand fans for a good few years.
It's not to often I agree with Len and I have been sharing forums with him for a good ten years, but this time he is spot on

Cannot find any logic for the way they are threatening fans other than very severe financial problems and a desperate need to get cash in to keep the club afloat over the summer.
Worrying times ahead.
Think you're pretty much bang on there Alien.

In what way are fans being threatened?
The club has offered to freeze what are already competitive ST prices for 2 seasons and put together flexible finance options to help pay for these.
The club has also reassured ST holders that they wont devalue their purchase by effectively handing out freebies left, right and centre.

Threatening?!
ive allways found buying a ticket quite easy ,you go to the ticket office say can i have a ticket hand over some hard earned and amazingly they print you one off.but im sure they could allways deliver it buy stretch limo to my house .lewis outDepends whether they're worth watching, what the prices are, whether they issue Blades Cards to make acquiring tickets simple.

Considering that you went for 7,500 and we've hit nearly 10,000 already I'll take it that your guess of "hardly any are going to be sold over the summer" is another wild stab in the dark. I don't know what percentage is normally sold during the summer, but with good prices for "True Blades at the Lane" I'd also assume that its going to be fewer than normal.
I don't think you can assume that relegation will have much of an impact as most will have thought we were at best 50/50 to go down when they purchased theirs before Sunday.
As far as I can remember, United (and other football clubs) have always looked to maximise revenue at the end of the season as its a long time from May-August, with almost no revenue (except for the Sheffield Eagles) and then new Shirt sales in around July.
I'm not saying that we're not in financial trouble, but there is certainly nothing new to suggest that we are, other than our revenue will be much lower next season, but then so will wages
Anyone know how many Season Tickets we sold this season? Anyone know how much we made from Flexi tickets and half season tickets?
I don't see how they can. The "you're in or you're out" challenge to peoples Bladeness has paid off and renewals will surely be higher than they'd expected/deserved. But having done so, they can't now go back on the very premise - cheapest price, no deals for the naysayers - they've done so well out of.
Can't argue, a proper marketing campaign will mix things up a bit, but having stipulated they won't be doing so......they won't be doing so
And if I may be so modest, the latter was one of my suggestions to RB first time there was a thread about questions to....a means of adding value to those who say "yes" without alienating those who say "no"![]()
Jeez, you bump into more Hobos on here than you do at Easter Road these days!!
:hello:
