They almost did it on Monday. Both them and Cagliari had a man sent off and unfortunately for Salernitana they conceded a 99th minute qualiser with 2 games to go. Otherwise they would have been 4 clear of the drop zone.

The other bottom teams have a combination of Roma, Inter and Napoli for the next one and then Cagliari play Venezia in the final match while Genoa play Bologna.

For Salernitana they have no big gun to face off, just games against 14th placed Empoli and 12th placed Watford, sorry Udinese.

They have a good chance.

I think it's safe to say that United won't be taking up the option for him to stay at the Lane. I think PH sent him out to give him a change of scenery and for one last chance to prove himself and get game time. He's failed miserably. Hes either the unluckiest player going injury wise to keep getting injury after injury, or he has been swinging the lead for most of his career and not putting on the hard yards to keep his body up to the required robust standard. I thinks it clear which is the truth. I'd be surprised if he ever gets another contract as good as he got at the Lane. Wouldnt be surprised if he retired from football soon. Not our problem after this summer.

How Moose has ended up in this position in his career is completely his own fault. He should be sat at home reviewing a season where he competed with Mitrovic for top scorer.

Instead he’s played around 4/5 games combined & going to be unemployed in the summer

Needs a club willing to take on declining pro's who are looking to revive their careers but use past glories to earn a good contract on a decent wedge whilst doing so.
