If you are arriving by train Station Tap, Rutland (treat her to a chip butty) and for retro Fanny's or for modern style the Stancil Brewery place.

If driving stop in Heeley as recommended earlier. There's also that new trendy place where the tram depot was that my missus likes but doubt you will get much pre match atmos.

After match get yourself down Kelham Island if she likes the ale. If not, Ecclesall Road is a bit more bird friendly with wine type options. If she likes a scrap take her pig hunting on West St.

Incidentally, I didn't realise girlfriends meant an anniversary and learning songs. Great lass. Get her married if she gets equal marks in the sack department...

It's that deja vu again. And again.

What/where's the Stancill Brewery and tram depot places? Is Sentinel Brewhouse the tram depot?

What little I would know.

Get in a cab from Copthorne and go to Kelham Island. Two of the best pubs in England, pretty much a stones throw apart.

Anyone got any suggestions for if he is arriving by train?
I heard station tap , then get a chip butty , then pop into stancil brewery , other than that ain't got a clue .
Although you could pop into Kelham island , but I'd leave that till after game . ;)

Nice bit of copy and pasting there. Knew it couldn't be you, you don't get that near to the ground do you? And as for having a missus............

What a girl. When we stay in Copthorne we have a drink in there.
If you are wanting to treat her in return take her to Rossi's Italian on Sharrow lane it's bang on. Jump in a taxi, it's just a couple of minutes. Food real good and quite a quirky place, think it used to be a bank.
P.s. You will be celebrating a win the way how CW has got us playing. Utb

Went in The Copthorne for the first time in a couple of years t'other week. Pint of some crappy lager + 2 kids cokes came to nearly a tenner. Won't be doing that again!

If you don't mind paying a premium for good beer, definitely Sentinel Brewery. The Kolsh and Pivo are outstanding. Not sure why they have the meathead on the door for football games though (the prices are enough to keep out that kind of crowd).

Dev Cat's good. Probably the best range of beers in Sheffield (??).

Beer Engine's decent. Enjoyed some samples of their food at Sheffield Beer festival. Definitely intend to eat there one day.

Good crowd and some good beer in the Cremorne (and nice cheap pizza). You need to get there before 1:30 if you want to sit though.

Just in the process of convincing our gert to drop me n the boy in town so I can partake in one or two(8) pints pre and post match, hopefully she will see fit to be nice to us tomorrow!
Not sure where to go yet, but I'm sure il latch on to the scent of cold lager as soon as we exit the car!!

Closed for about another 3 weeks for a refurb, my usual pre match haunt, ventured back in after the last game after being given the heads up they were selling the cask ale off at £2.50 a pint, so I helped finish off the Saltaire Triple Chocoholic Stout

Thanks chaps. Plenty of suggestions to make sure we're well oiled before and after the game, with a half time pie and 3 points sandwiched in the middle.

Saved me a journey, I was going to head there tomorrow.

I suppose the real question is why you're up at 3:19 AM discussing my marital status.
I had a heavy night out on the town. No actually, my repaired broken hip was hurting, so I got up to take a pain killer and had a little snoop while I was up. :)
