Olise - reading - right winger but I’d move him into a 10 role similar to eze
Bielik- Derby - right side centrehalf/ defensive midfielder.

Thats who I’d be looking at.

cant say ive heard of any of these but i bow to your superior modern knowledge yogi but yeah were gonna need 3 midfielders to come in this summer i reckon 6 more in total dont you rate hourihane ?

I think Hourihane would be an excellent acquisition for us.

me neither just think hes had no choice in the matter and thats actually chris's fault for not bringing a couple more midfielders in before the season started we just didnt have the numbers to cover for injuries or loss of form

I rate hourihane but I wonder if it’s value for money given what he’d take in wages/fees. Ipswich and Derby (if there isn’t a takeover) will be in financial trouble in so there will be bargains to be had there. Olise has a good pedigree coming through at Chelsea has dropped down for first team action and is very mercurial. The time to get in on him is now because when he has a true breakout season we won’t be able to afford him.

Bielik 100%, not sure Dozell offers any improvement very good backup mind and olise will be off to a top club his stats are incredible and won’t have gone unnoticed. Josh Laurent looks a decent prospect, very good ball retainer. Harry Wilson , Josh Koroma and Mbenza also good players. Harvey Elliot on loan.

On a tangent Paddy McNair is a readymade understudy for Basham got to go and get him.

Dozzel is interesting lots of hype at a young age due to his technical ability but never nailed down a position the move further back in midfield seems to be allowing him to dictate play with his passing range a lot more. Given the continued lack of fans clubs will have to liquidate assets so if he’s available for a reasonable price I’d take a flyer on him having worked out his natural role and position finally.

If we could get McNair and bielik I’d be very confident in us having solved the centreback depth and if we wanted to be more solid they could both go into midfield and battle it out.

I rate Hourihane highly and would love to see him at The Lane but I think that only happens if Fleck leaves.

i think baldock could play rcb in the basham role and that would enable us to get bogle in at rwb seems obvious from chris's comments were going to carry on with this system but just tweak it back to 3412 then we need a partner for fleck in the midfield pivot role and a duffy type for the no.10 spot which we have to go back to

My issue with baldock at RCB is purely his height and it would certainly be something opponent’s would target. As Seth has stated I’d rather see either bielik or McNair recruited young full that spot. I agree we need both a pivot and a 10 and if Berge goes then a rcm.

Predicting what Chelsea will do with their loanees is difficult just because it’s hard to know whether they’re loaning them for their development or for profit. It’d be worth picking up the phone at least

Personally I think both are an issue at this level.

I think, as you say, both the attack and midfield are problems.
But it is unfair to say it is wrong to or you should not criticise Wilder.
He has to bear the responsibility for what is happening this season.

Judging by this seasons performances Berge is our only sellable asset, so he will probably get sold. Lundstram is probably our second most sellable asset...

If we could possibly keep them. Berge and Fleck in a CM 2 with Dids in the 10 would be, by a country mile, the best midfield in the Championship.

Given we may lose Berge, Freeman and Lundstram that would leave us with Fleck, Osborn, Norwood and a smattering of youngsters. Optimistically, if we can get £25-30m for Berge and £4-5m for Freeman on top of parachute payments, there should be a decent budget for the 3-4 replacements we'd need. Assuming we go back to 3-4-1-2 a few suggestions.

RCM
James Garner (loan) - similar style to Norwood. good ping but more athletic
Han Noah Massengo - young, highly rated when at Monaco
Krystian Bielik - I'd use him as future Basham replacement but very capable as a DM. Just suffered second acl injury in two years so injury issues. Derby have money troubles so could pick up relatively cheaply
John Swift - we all know about him

Isaac Mbenza - smashing it at Huddersfield. Out of contract in summer. Dead ball specialist, quick and skillful. But is more of a winger so could he make the switch centrally
Harvey Elliott (loan) - playing more centrally of late but would rely on Klippity getting over his sulk with Wilder
Joe Rothwell - out of contract. Wouldn't be first choice but still a very good player
Allen Halilovic - out of contract. Mentioned him before. Very clever, skillful player who could thrive with us in the Duffy role
Ovie Ejaria - don't think we could afford him but quality player. Strong, good dribbler and has potential to move up to EPL

I might be wrong here but sure Chelsea loaned Tammy Abraham to Brizzle City & then Aston Vanilla, in Championship.

Dozzell - not good enough.
Olise - Too young and immature for us to blow the £15m that Reading would want. We couldn’t even make Swift work at £6m!
Bielik - Weetabix in hot milk legs. Never gonna happen.

I suspect if we offered £20 million for him, they would sell. I'm unsure whether he'd want to sign for us. Personally, I've not seen enough, specifically in his defensive play, to indicate he'd be worth half that.

What worries me is will Berge jump ship, he only came after much persuasion & that we were in PL or about to be, he's a good player but he may be too ambitious for us. I have also been told that Moose is in fact on holiday with Lord Lucan in the Seychelles, well we never seem to see or hear about him unless crashing car.
