Yes. We dominated the game, did everything but score, and Boro, who went on to be relegated, won 1-0 with a last minute goal from Gary Rowell, delighting the 50 or so fans they had brought with them. Their crowd was down to a real hard core.

If I remember rightly, Pollingtonblade has said that this was the first Blades game he ever saw.

No more than damage limitation in these next two games I am afraid, Selles knows if he takes a pasting at Boro or Ipswich he won’t make it to the next winnable game vs Charlton so I expect a similar approach as at Swansea.

The peculiarity of the 3.15 kick-offs always intrigued me. Chesterfield and Plymouth did it too. Never really understood it. Local industry thing?!?

Chesterfield used to kick off at 2.00 during the winter months so they could finish in daylight. I believe they were the last league club to install floodlights, in 1967.

At a club where we generally dont get decent results, I'd just like to see some improvement from the team in terms of structure and organisation, a bit more effort wouldn't go amiss either.
Remember going to Ayresome Park in the early 80s, think we were 3-0 down at HT. Needed to make a tactical withdrawal during the interval to avoid the inevitable kerfuffle with the home fans.
Those were great unregulated times, even the coach driver was a bit of a rogue.

It was in the 70,s but remember one lad ( he was a mate originally from the silver blades) stood on top of a milk float peppering boro fans with milk bottles
