Moore not involved enough. We're not getting the ball to him. Too much slow build up at the back with zero creativity. I'd rather we moved the ball forward quicker sometimes.

Brewster and Rak-Saki giving half-assed to zero protection to the FBs. Neither seems interested in doing a defensive job. I'd be shouting at them and then taking them off if they don't wake up.

Arblsaster and Peck not getting control in the middle.

We're second best at the moment. If we keep giving Boro this much time and space they will eventually score. We need more energy and urgency. Move the ball quicker. Gilchrist is the only one with any urgency.

IMG_20241023_205108.webpShit photo from shit screen in pub I know, but just fall over, 1-0

H-T 0-0
Probably a fair scoreline.
We started well as Middlesboro seemed to show us so much respect...playing a little like the away side.
We've generally been the better team however in the last 10 minutes of that 1st half Boro started looking like the home team
building up a few attacks and sling in a few crosses putting our defence under a decent spell of pressure.

Positives
Best player probably Gilchriest, the whole defence have looked good
and again Cooper hasn't had that much to do.....but when ever he does anything it's 1st class with total confidence.
Yet again we don't really look like conceding

Negatives
Yet again we're struggling to create clear chances. The forward system doesn't seem to work.
Not sure whether it's O'Hare in the number 10 but the formation isn't clicking.
We seem guilty of over passing near their goal, trying to walk the ball into the net instead of just trying a shot.
Seems another case of hoping for a 1-0 win.....which to be fair looks realistic.

Brewster started lively and genuinely thought he was up for it.

Thennnnn faded to not be mentioned by commentators ever again and genuinely forgot he was on the pitch.

Brooks on for Brewster played, 2 proper lively wide men.

Saying that, ball cleared off line and a better pass by McCallum to Moore and could have had a couple goals.

Barring one run Brewster has been an absolute passenger, with McCallum getting no support defensively while also usually being the furthest player forward on the left. JRS hasn't had enough of the ball, we seem to be waiting for Boro to leave a gap for us to play balls over the top but it's just not working. O'Hare would be much better playing closer to the other midfielders than being an ineffective almost striker.

Less and less convinced that Moore and O'Hare are going to get goals. They don't seem to work as a pair. Shame, I was looking forward to those to gelling and banging in a ton of goals.

Moore, O'Hare and Brewster might as well not be on the pitch.
Brewster made a decent start and made a terrific run with the ball. After that he disappeared. I got the impression that in chasing back he takes a few shorter steps so he does not actually put in a challenge.
Overall though we have a tactical malfunction. Peck and Arblaster both very deep. Raki Saki and Brewster too wide.
O'Hare can't hold on to the ball and Moore needs to drop deeper which would shorten the distance between defence and attack and join things up.

Defence starts from the front

O’hare is too light weight and Moore too slow…

That slows them to step up and over run the two kids in midfield ….

We need to give them something to worry about in behind

I’d put Brewster central for O’hare and bring Brooks on…. We have no choice but to stick with Moore as Campbell isn’t match ready from what I’ve seen.

I’d bring burrows on the left to make it more solid
We need to get the ball to Rak Saki more, they can't handle him

arblaster and peck are too similar they shouldnt be starting together would sooner see brooks in were gonna lose this unless wilder makes changes absolutely no threat YET again up front get moore and o'hare off they give us nothing

Better performance than Friday so far, but we still aren't creating enough opportunities.

Movement in the middle of the pitch isn't good enough. Moore and O'Hare are dragging the team down by not doing enough.

JRS done well. Deserved a goal but the Leeds twat denied him. Thought Brewster has done pretty decent down the other side too; shown a good turn of pace at times and has tried to create chances. Again though the movement centrally is not good enough and leaves him without options.

I'd take O'Hare off, put Brooks down the left, and play Brewster and Moore as a regular strike partnership. We aren't doing enough with one striker to stretch their centre backs, so an extra man up there might make the difference.

Pass between Anel and Souttar then either:

1) Boot it diagonally to the wings
2) Boot it to their centre halves
3) Pass it to Arblaster/Peck and they pass straight back into defence

We started the game breaking up their passes and forcing mistakes around the edge of their box, we stopped doing that after 20 mins or so.

Their keeper looks dodgy, just shoot.

Doak is topside of McCallum.

That’s about all I can say so far, dull game. Would take 0-0 now.

Wow.....so unlucky.

A carbon copy of Rak-Sakyi 2nd goal against Luton.
This time JRK skipped past their full back and places it past the goalie into the bottom corner.

Looked like we'd scored but right at the last second their defender Luke Ayling sprinted back and cleared it off the goal line.

Just now Boro had their best and only chance...... forcing Cooper to make a fantastic save.
Why didn’t Moore follow Rak-Sakyi’s effort in. If he’d just slid across with Ayling the clearance hits him & goes in 🤷🏼‍♂️

Not Brewsters fault he hasn't been given the ball when it has come down that side it's usually been with McCallum

It's that same feeling with OHare/Brewster as with OHare/Hamer, if they just swapped positions. Surely we make better use of Brewster in the centre, particularly on the counter attacks and I thought OHare has his best games against Luton on the left.
God knows why O'Hare in middle and Brewster on left - crazy setup by Wilder , surely the bigger stronger guy in middle and weaker tiny tot on left.
Dunno how O'Hare can be in pitch and Brooks on bench

Brewster should definitely play down the middle. He's too isolated on the left.
He actually has the physicality to make some runs and not lose the ball all the time like O'Hare. And I think a more dynamic player like Brewster would complement Moore much better.

Moore is a waste of a spot in this team, we don’t play to his strengths but he’s also not shown us anything. What’s the point of him? He’s done fuck all and no one is capable of putting the ball on his lanky head in the box.

Ohare is having one of his better games by his standards but i still don’t really rate him. both have been hugely underwhelming still.

Overall though we have a tactical malfunction.

Agree.....that became the clear situation towards the end of that half.
Boro have slowly eased themselves into the match but based on the last 10 minutes of that half will feel the happier of the 2 teams.

As expected it's just said that Wilder has made a tactical change for the 2nd half.
He moved the ineffective O'Hare onto the left switching the ineffective Brewster into a central number 10 position
....makes sense....nothing to lose....at least try something different.

Why are we paying Campbell if he's not fit by now he never will be
