I think it was early doors in this thread that Harry's Game or someone similar said about getting more realistic with bull-shit rumours. That's more on the button, Guesty, it was a shit, totally bobbins rumour in the first place.

Agents do contact reporters and websites to get these things public (I know an agent who said as much). I think Adkins was asked 'would you like Michael Turner?' and he responded 'yes, of course, but he's a PL player and wages would be a big issue.' That's a bit different to him being a definite target. As elsewhere in this rumour section, if you ask him about the Messi link in that way he answers the same.

I'll say what I did before he went elsewhere. His best days are behind him (as confirmed by Norwich fans) and he will still earn a fortune. I'd much rather us sign an up and comer.

And then in the wake of today's news.

"You know what it's actually a great signing this. Tall, solid CB with a couple of promotions on his CV and top flight exeprience. Should fit straight into the squad no problem at all. Great signing CC".

The pigs seem to sign a lot of players who'd be good signings for us but at a league higher are pretty average.
