McCabe, our plight and the apologists ...

do they it seems very similar to ours
invest as much as you dare and hope to win a play off
like us they failed
and now started with a win due to a goal keeping error a draw and 2 league defeats
and losing in the EFL to a 2nd division club

I still dont get some blades praising Wednesdays efforts
it baffles me

..the pigs are a side issue, sorry I mentioned them.
So what's the point of multi-millionaire chairmen if they don't want to chuck money at the club and it has to run like 'a normal business'?

to keep a club solvent
again ask wednesday who during their shorter stay in league one had to go to court over using tax money to pay their players and were within 1 hour of being wound up

mccabes asked for more help , financially but hes not really had much, maybe 8 to 10 million to cover losses from the prince
hardly setting the world alight

...£8-10million...maybe £15million?
Do you think that's about half the running costs of the club? What more would McCabe want from him?

...especially when Princey has no Bob hope of getting owt back...wonder how he feels about giving McCabe 'help' now?

I thought they were partners btw, 50-50?

At least you got it, as we do like to spend other peoples money.

So enlighten us where we're getting things wrong...rather than being cryptic?

Or perhaps you 'work' for the club, that would explain it...they're all crawling out today...

But it is a business and McCabe is a businessman. There's no guarantee of throwing money at it will guarantee success, take Wednesday as an example, this year could get very interesting if they don't go up.. Burton didn't throw money at it, they got the balance right on the pitch and had fans with little expectation, so no pressure.

yet ANOTHER go at McCabe.

yawn...............

It's the players stupid..............(palgerised and adapted from Clinton)

UTB

we aim at what we can afford
if you run a business you set a budget to fit into your expected income
we get 5 million or there abouts from 19000 x 275 average st income allowing for kids and oaps
out of that comes wages running costs insurances stewarding
we pay 4 officials the ref and his team over 400k a year in fees now, I only just found out
policing costs us 500k , theres 1 fifth gone
leaves us 4m towards our 8 m wage bill

team like southend get 2m gate income but only have a 3m wage bill

they lose 1m we are down 4m
Can you categorically state our current wage bill is 8m per year?

So we're back to this.
It isn't a normal business, it would be 'out of business if it were... So, as I've stated, if the club has to stand on its own two feet and turn a profit/ break even...what's the point in having McCabe as owner, when, quite clearly, his football decisions have been disastrous for the club?

How much do you think McCabe should be willing to lose every season?

He doesn't have to put anything in for me, that's up to him...still, if that is the case, and he's not putting owt in...why is he here, given his track record of steering us to the bottom of division one, apparently without a lot to piss in?

What's his plan to take the club forwards?

Plan what plan? it is all down to luck ;)

Who knows, he seems to piss the £650 we spend on STs up the Wall

Hoping for a shot on Target tomorroz
Yep, straight in his back pocket.
So he is funding the fact we have2 of the best strikers in this division but it's still his fault that we don't have shots on target?....ok

Commercial property is totally different to residential property. Generally the yield/rent should be about 4%. It does vary of course on type of property and geography. Interestingly when capital values fall, yield increases.
And quality of tenant ;)

Does McCabe?
We keep hearing it bandied about on here and elsewhere ??
I should imagine McCabe would be considerably richer had he never got involved with us
its a bit like being a rail enthusiast, its an obsession of love
how much money you blow is how much your prepared to blow on it
saw a programme last night where 3 separate millionaires lost million on funding the flying scotsman , for no reward
we fall into that category
all clubs are money pits , you only make money if you can stay in the prem
as soon as that status is gone , its like throwing money in a bin

Can you categorically state our current wage bill is 8m per year?

6 7 8 9 10
our gate receipts are static any of those numbers we make a loss
its very hard to assess exactly a seasons exact wage bill as some costs carry over
you get a probable costing
depends how the accountants spread the load

So that's a no then?
He'll walk away from the club for nowt...which begs the question, what's he hanging about for?

he will get what someones prepared to give

wednesday were nearly sold for 5m to an American sports company under Strafford
then went for a pound then for 30m

who knows if he wants a bit of his investment back most of it or wont sell till hes in the black

the third option seems highly unlikely just now
he insists hes put in 70 million since joining the club
no one will pay half of that
Im sure hes savvy enough to realise that

Right, so now he want a 'a bit back', right...how much?
Meanwhile, his 'little helper', Princey, should expect sweet FA...

Your post earlier...perhaps 'this bit' is unrealistic?

name any investor in a league one club w ho has a hope of a big return

how would anyone know
when someone buys a new car for 30000k
what do they expect back after 15 years, the full ammount
same with most players, unless they fall into the lamborghini range

princey took a punt on us returning to the prem to make money
Ive forked out 2 euros for a lottery ticket
might have to take a loss
