We have one of the best managers in the league. But we haven't spent enough to back him . Yes we have spent money but we have more than recouped that through sell ons.
Just cause we have made a decent start shouldn't mask the fact wilder hasn't been backed enough for a team newly promoted and receiving 6/7 million as widely reported.

Forget what money is spent. We had a requirement to add something different up top and we did that. We are all disappointed that Wilder didn't get all the players he wanted, but we must remember he does everything for the team and bringing in someone on stupid money or loan fees could cause issue with that.

Wilder has talked about this for 2 years. Look at the pigs, they have 5 players on at least 50k who play in advanced positions and yet the rest of the team is paid shit, enough said

McCabe has said many times that he would be more than willing for someone to buy the club as long as it was someone who would do right by the club - perhaps you missed that?

It is a reasonable discussion, how do you know he hasn't been backed? Chris has said he will not pay over the odds, his discision, maybe he has millions, supplied by the owners and he has decided to hold on until January, forums are about opinions but you seem to know more than most, again I ask you, how do you kniw so much as opposed to most everybody else's opinions

All this talk about not being willing to meet sellers demands, may I remind you of what happened when people were demanding that we (sorry the financial backers) met the asking price for the demi-god that was Brayford. That was one of the worst pieces of business that the club has done in my 60 odd years of supporting this club. It not only cost the club in a ridiculous fee (£1.5M) but also meant that we couldn't afford a couple more decent players that year that would have almost guaranteed promotion and all the riches that would have brought.
United have far more sense when it comes to spending money on players than the team that no doubt you support. £10MILLION for someone who daren't take a penalty.

The Chansiri investment certainly has been a game-changer for that sorry bunch of Clowns in S6. A re-branding of SWFC has taken place - it's now Chansiri Chancers FC in all but name. Even the seats have been changed to promote the Tuna brand. Can you imagine our reaction if the BLADES seats were replaced with McCABE & MUSA'AD?

McCabe has took some stick over the years of which much has been very harsh and critical. Some of the criticism is deserved to be fair - mainly his management appointments and timings of sackings in my view. Yes I'm disappointed we didn't get Cole. I hoped with the good start and the money from the Harry and walker sales that we might make one marquee signing - whoever that would be I don't know. I wanted more pace in the side too. But lets be reyt, the team and the squad are much stronger than they were at the end of last season. I reckon we have an outside chance of being in the hunt for the play offs this season and if that's the case come January then hopefully we'll see some much needed pace added. Wilder definitely wants pace that's for sure.

As for the Prince, I am disappointed that we've not seen obvious investment in the playing staff which I recall was promised. Maybe we have received this, I don't know, but from the outside it doesn't seem forthcoming. However, we look stronger than many expected thus far so lets be optimistic. It could be much much worse! We could have spunked our money away on mercenaries, had the highest ticket prices in the league and a manager who can't speak English with a stand named after the Chairman!

Everyone likes to talk about the great owners in football that spend all this money but lets not forget the Coventrys, Leyton Orients, Charltons, they'd kill for a chairman who isn't trying to suck the life and soul out of the club. Wilder does not strike me as the type of manager who will sign someone just for the sake of it when he can't get his original targets. I think he is more likely to wait until he can get someone he really wants. He has built a team and it seems to me that any player coming in has to be able to fit into the team. Team strengthening is likely to be well thought out and gradual. I doubt that you will see Wilder indulging in any very high profile purchases, as that could easily upset the very strong team spirit that we finally seem to have regained.
