La-la land. We're going to have a massively reduced budget if we don't go up this season, will have to sell more players and have less chance of competing with the big boys in our league nevermind the Prem. They didn't remove Wilder because he failed to get us promoted. They removed him because they want us to go up and stay up. They know he can get us up but his methods and tactics won't keep us up. They also want to modernise us and get us playing the modern way which will prepare us for life in the Premier League, so that needed a managerial change.
When they announced Selles as manager they said it's going to require patience whilst the changed needed are made, which suggested that they'll back him if we don't go up so long as they see progress on the pitch in the way we play, and improvement in the players. It's not all about results and the final league table.
Remarkable if ewe push for auto, see playoffs as underdogs prob 6th
The squad is already top 4 calibre. Anything less than that is failure. If we strengthen with 2-3 we should be contesting the automatics.
Going down the loanee route isnt strengthening ,ie can be called back anytimeThe squad is already top 4 calibre. Anything less than that is failure. If we strengthen with 2-3 we should be contesting the automatics.

Unfortunately some of our lot won't look at the big picture the bottom 3 who come from the prem are stronger than us plenty of championship clubs seem to be getting better players than us , not to mention the prized asset of hamer expe ted to leave in not now will be gone in January if we are not in the mistime will tell utbDunno how you've figured that. Last season had Rak-Sakyi , Souttar, Diaz (looked unfit but still scored a few) and Choudhury all loaned in and still only good enough for 3rd. This season we've only got Barry and Bindon in so far. Not sure we're top 6 at present.
For the second half of the season we didn’t have Souttar, BBD was shit and Rak Sakyi is no better than Brooks in my opinion. By the end of August I’d be very surprised if we are weaker than last season.Dunno how you've figured that. Raki Sakyi was way better than sideways backwards Brooks not saying he will be career wise but last season he wasFor the second half of the season we didn’t have Souttar, BBD was shit and Rak Sakyi is no better than Brooks in my opinion. Is it uck top 4 callbre now but expect it to be by September 1stThe squad is already top 4 calibre. Anything less than that is failure. If we strengthen with 2-3 we should be contesting the automatics.
I won't be happy if we are as weak as we were for the first half of last year in particular. By the time we got to Christmas we were running on fumesFor the second half of the season we didn’t have Souttar, BBD was shit and Rak Sakyi is no better than Brooks in my opinion. Top four? Why top four? If you don't finish top two you're in the lottery of the play offs where finishing 3rd or 6th is meaningless. But do you currently consider us top 4 material?
Vini wanted to leave. We had no choice on that.Top four, really???? Unless there are some real quality additions to our squad, we will be lucky to make top six. Ipswich, Southampton, Birmingham, Norwich, Swansea, and I hate to say it, Wrexham, making astute signings. What do we do, sell Vini, now Moore to a rival in our league. IMHO we now need 2 RB, 2/3 CB, 1/2 CDM and a striker. Since the end of last season, five loans gone back, Vini, Moore and Brewster left, and just 1 loan in for the first team squad.

Wilder ahhhtSorry KMC, but promotion is the aim if for nothing more than the dosh they dish out.
Personally i don't see us going up. The way we are setting up leaves wide open and although we will win more than we lose we will get nowhere near last seasons total.
Familly van out of skeg ,i rarely venture into that townDo you live in Skegness? If so, I can understand your negativity.
Gotta confess I’ve struggled for any sort of enthusiasm since the play off defeat ..hoping Saturday will bring back the sparkUnderwhelmed…But to be honest, since the Sunderland debacle I’ve tried my best to avoid anything football related. Yes, I’ve been posting on here but I’ve also had my tin hat on expecting the worst with the vultures circling…So far I feel we are relatively unscathed, although I think the team is slightly weaker than the one at Wembley. I’ve not been to any pre-season games or even watched them on the stream, but with lower expectations this season…I can’t wait to get back to my seat at the Lane on Saturday and be pleasantly surprised.
