I just dont understand why its alright to make up fucking terrible nicknames to slag players that give 100%. Especially when most of the posters using it cry like little kids when people happen to get personal with them.

McBurnie will never, ever make it in the minds of these people lets be honest. They see what they see and think theyre special by seeing it differently.

I thought he did well, showed promise in the non hoofball system and generally looked a positive part of the team.

His introduction changed the game as we changed shape. We can’t play Billy and Didz up top as Didz likes to drop which leaves Billy isolated and he can’t play that role on his own, that’s why he looked so out his depth in the first half. Some of our fans just have this bizarre vendetta against him for some reason.

I never said he was the sole reason we won and I never said that him coming on was the thing which changed the game, I simply said that he made a big impact and gave everything.

I don't disagree with the points anyone has made RE: his goal tally but I just wanted to comment on him giving 100% and being pretty important in the win.

In my view, the way he came on and provided a second link up, was key to piling more pressure on and took a lot of pressure off Didzy and allowed both of them to get in to the holes between WBA's defence and midfield lines. I'm not saying he's Pele, and he could certainly score more, but I still think he'll come good.

But hey, why bother with informed discussion when you can just hyperbolise someone's argument, tell them they're wrong and just say he's dugshit? 🤷‍♂️

Can't disagree with that. The game changed as soon as the second half began. You missed out Bash there by the way. Thought him and Bogle were outstanding
 
Seems McBurnie is marmite- but so far we have seen jack shit to testify he is anything other than average to poor. Its glaringly obvious we paid too much money for him. His current value must be half what we paid- it's not a great resume so far.

Don't get me wrong- I'd love to be proved wrong and eat humble pie all day long, if he banged in a hat trick on Sunday.

But folks who are defending him blindly seem to have false loyalty built on precisely nothing.

Billy's got 3 in last 4 - the proof is there.

Ah nowt to be embarrassed about, quiet news day...I've been on my arse on heavy painkillers for a fortnight after knee surgery, think it all just got to me 🤣🤣🤣

I've looked a bigger fool over smaller things before, thats why I thought I'd leave it there for folk to have a laugh at 😅

I'll be interested to see what happens with McBurnie this summer. Will he be an asset in the Championship? I wouldn't be adverse to cashing in on him.

With the possible exception of Swansea if they go up, I can't imagine any club paying Utd what they'd want for him or equalling/bettering his current salary.

Personally, I think he'll be a huge threat next season, assuming Utd's formation and playing style is tweaked so he's not isolated up front. Exactly the same goes for Brewster.

If Swansea or Rangers (or anyone to be fair) offered £15m or more I'd be happy with that, depends whether we reckon PA would want what to get back what he paid?

i dont but i do hope your right mouth never rated the guy but do have great hopes that brewster will get 20 plus in the championship if we could get 10m for mcburnie i would snatch their hands off
