There is an old adage. DON'T GO BACK. It could be more apt in his case

Most of us didn't want him to stay, the game is about pace and power, he has no pace cos he can't run at all and only power he has is in his fistsKeep in mind he didn't want to stay when we wanted to keep him.
Yep let's bring Lundstram and Norwood back too. Then nobody could accuse us of not being a progressive club. There's overreactions and then there's this![]()
I think there’s a case that his fitness would’ve improved playing in a warmer climate. Personally, I’d be all for him coming back as a Moore replacement. Younger, does the dirty work, runs like a newborn giraffe admittedly but think he’d be a good addition. And the Spanish game is different to Championship football. He struggled for fitness with us. Would his body stand up to playing twice a week? Or would we have another player who we can't rely on?
So we shouldn’t have brought Billy back then?I'm not necessarily against bringing former players back, unlike some who seem to think it's the root of all evil. I do however, think we should only do it on occasions when the player was actually any good the first time around.
Yes, he had a purple patch for 6 months or so out of his 5 years at the club, but he had Iliman Ndiaye at the side of him and he was 2-3 years younger.
To be fair i never saw McBurnie misplace passes as much as Moore does, I’d love to say the pass against Sunderland was a surprise but we all know it wasn’tI've said this before, and I will say it again, you don't divorce your wife and then marry her again!
Granted he's a step up on Kieffer, but so is Ian Ormondroyd!
AyeIf McBurnie comes back then that's the end of our football club. It'll just be a graveyard for out of shape, washed up nutters. We'll be in League One this time next year. I've had it with some of our fan base. Moronic.
Finally some common sense. Best post on here for decades.I was relieved we didn’t go up into the Premier League, cos we were nowhere near ready. I didn’t want COH to think that Chris Wilder was the answer and throw half a billion at him to build a team to establish us in the top division, because we know how that scenario ends.
But this season and maybe even the next, I want them to build a team of elite young athletes, from wherever they exist, develop the Cat 1 academy, scouting, medical infrastructure and first team training facility into leaders in their field.
When that team comes together, I want us to destroy the Championship and go up as clear Champions.
So naturally, it is so disheartening to hear people on here, advocating the resigning of Ollie McBurnie. Is he really at the level of what we require to achieve such a level of future success?
IMO he was bone idle, slow and unable to strike the ball cleanly before he left, and he isn’t what we need now. We’ve already got to a glut of poor strikers in Moore and Cannon, to get rid of, without adding another to their ranks!
McfuckingBurnie……..Jesus Christ, I can’t get my breath![]()
That’s not true, he absolutely smashed the shit out of that lad’s phone with his feetMost of us didn't want him to stay, the game is about pace and power, he has no pace cos he can't run at all and only power he has is in his fists
I'm putting 2 and 2 together here and getting 5430... Please no...
If McBurnie is coming back then it's a sign Wilder is going no where.
Nor are Sheff Utd…
I like him, but fuck me, we don't cast our net very wide do we![]()
I’m not a fan of bringing him back but you certainly can’t accuse him of being bone idle. He worked hard but his lack of pace unfortunately negates many of his other attributes. His best asset was his presence defending set pieces but curiously I don’t really remember him being as reliable at offensive set pieces.I was relieved we didn’t go up into the Premier League, cos we were nowhere near ready. I didn’t want COH to think that Chris Wilder was the answer and throw half a billion at him to build a team to establish us in the top division, because we know how that scenario ends.
