Bit of an insult to the chuckle brothersDoesn't matter who sanctioned it or who led the signing the fact that we ended up 6going into the business end of the season with the chuckle brothers in central defence wether directly because of this signing or as a side effect should be the most concerning aspect to them
If he signs and does well, which he would, I assume you'll not be singing "He's our striker, he's our number 9"?!If Wider is even considering trying to sign Ollie McBurnie, ne’er mind sacking, he wants sectioning………..then sacking![]()
The ball was out? What is it that Another Mc, John McEnroe once said ?
UTB
He absolutely is.If he signs and does well, which he would, I assume you'll not be singing "He's our striker, he's our number 9"?!
He's easily a top end Championship striker.
Him and Kieffer would make a very solid CB pairing.
You're taking what Nixon says as gospel. CW's best mate was ridiculing his post on X yesterday.Yet again we continue to see the same old names mentioned as potential transfer targets, months after they first seem to have appeared / been targeted. None of these names make me think that the current manager shows any signs of progression or change in tactics or having a plan B. The names mentioned are just mundane playets (in my opinion), sticking to what he thinks is safe / knows / will fit into his "system".
Whilst appreciating some of his past endeavours, if the current transfer talk has any credence, then I'm sorry, this is no longer good enough.
I hope the owners can see this & have a change of direction. If they do, whilst appreciating it may not work, I believe now is the time for change
Would he have got into the Leeds and Burnley promotion sides? If not, he's not good enough for our promotion chase next year, is the way the club should think about it..I do question the sanity of some of our fans
Hes not a top end Championship striker
Strikers are supposed to score goals McBurnie doesnt how many non scoring strikers do we need
Hes been injured / unavailable far too often
There is a reason Las Palmas dont want him hes not good enough
Zian Flemming, Lyle Foster, Michael Obifemi and Ashley Barnes.... I think he might have?Would he have got into the Leeds and Burnley promotion sides? If not, he's not good enough for our promotion chase next year, is the way the club should think about it..
If he's in Wilders plans... he wants his arse kicking out of the door now!If Wider is even considering trying to sign Ollie McBurnie, ne’er mind sacking, he wants sectioning………..then sacking![]()
McBurnie scored 13 in 25 starts the last time he was in the championshipI do question the sanity of some of our fans

Apart from 2021-22 (when he only played 1,000 minutes) McBurnie has been a consistent goalscorer every season he's played in the Championship.I do question the sanity of some of our fans

He's a crock. How many more do we sign before the penny drops?Apart from 2021-22 (when he only played 1,000 minutes) McBurnie has been a consistent goalscorer every season he's played in the Championship.
He's had a lot of injury problems. I'm not in favour of signing him this summer despite being a paid-up lifetime member of his fanclub. But the idea that he's "not a top end Championship striker" is incorrect. He's a crock. How many more do we sign before the penny drops?
Las Palmas do want him, they gave him a 3 year contract. There is a reason Las Palmas dont want him hes not good enough
And yet neither took him when available so 2 managers who don't agree. Even if only for fitness, who knows.Zian Flemming, Lyle Foster, Michael Obifemi and Ashley Barnes.... I think he might have?
When was the last time any club at our level signed any player on a pay-as-you-play basis?Only ways would be
Pay as you play
Wasn't aimed at you, more a general comment. He's had a lot of injury problems. I'm not in favour of signing him this summer despite being a paid-up lifetime member of his fanclub. But the idea that he's "not a top end Championship striker" is incorrect.
Neither of them took Campbell when he was available (especially as Burnley lacked an actual striker for most of the season), but Burnley fans would probably admit that Campbell would have got in their side if they had him.And yet neither took him when available so 2 managers who don't agree.
