I also watched the game and you‘re right.
McBurnie didn’t touch the ball much but when he did he couldn’t seem to do anything right....he looked poor.

I thought....as his confidence must be low...he might choose the easy option to blast the penalty down the middle with the keeper reading it and making a save
but fair play to him...he showed good composure and calmly slotted it low along the ground into the corner sending the keeper the wrong way
even if the keeper had dived in the right direction still don’t think he’d have saved it. Before the penalty shootout the commentator said the Serbian keeper has a good record at saving penalties but every Scottish penalty were well struck into the corners giving him no chance,

I wrote that before it started with the pens so how does that relate to wanting him to miss his pen.

I suppose it depends who the posters are and if they have an agenda. I’ve noticed in Roy’s reports that McBurnie gets loads of stick off the Scottish fans. I‘ve not seen any of McBurnies performances so I thought I’d watch him tonight to see if their views are unfair and bias.

I’m a fan of McBurnie and think he is a better player than some people think
but tonight even I have to admit he looked really poor and out of his depth....although he came on as a late sub and hardly saw the ball...so it was probably difficult.

However he deserves massive praise for even volunteering to take a penalty in the biggest match of his whole career.
If he had missed he would have become public enemy number 1 and probably banned from Scotland.

Normally a nervous player low on confidence would be advised to blast it
but McBurnie stayed calm and slotted it into the corner....fair play to him....he celebrated well..
He’ll be buzzing after creating some history and I hope his success boosts the morale when he plays for us.

i’m in my 50’s and have seen Scotland fail at the last hurdle...often in unlucky fashion....so many times.
After conceding an equilising goal 30 seconds from time I was convinced Scotland were cursed and would lose on penalties, really surprised but pleased they won.
