Another good player. Not certain on play style however from bits I've seen and read. He is a good passer of the ball, not got quite the passing range of Norwood.

However he is a very tidy footballer, good for possession based sides.

Plays the role he is used at Swansea for very well.

Got to be honest I hardly watch the championship when we are not playing and I am always impressed people can recall some opposition player they only saw in the flesh a few times a season or two back.
They can't recall but that doesn't matter ,if someone says they are bobbar that will do for them .it the forum way.

I watched a lot of championship last season and enjoyed it more than watching PL games.
Admitted we were doing terrible and I was convalescing, non the less made me look forwards to upcoming season if IF we sort our sh!t out

For me it's just not entertaining whatsoever. I find it immensely frustrating even when it's not us. People rate it because of how 'close' it is and surprises can happen like us in 2019, Luton and Ipswich but a lot of it is pretty predictable too.

Because prem football is boring and to regimented, Championship football is far more entertaining and true to its roots.

Matt Grimes over Kenny McClean. Without trying sounding like I'm clinging on to the past, it's irritating that we let Norwood go in a changing of the guard to then be looking at players of a similar age. Whilst we need experience and I'm all for the likes of Kieffer Moore, we need to be looking at players in (or heading towards) their prime.

Don't hate the thought of Grimes or McClean, hopefully for the outward bound Souza?

However, if Souza stays (he did look good against much lower opposition) the centre of midfield becomes a bit stacked - Hamer, Blaster, Davies, Brooks, Slimane, Shackleton.

I know some of these could play in different positions (Bogle to them 🤬 Shackleton RB) but doesn't seem to be a position we need to add a lot?

If all these signings come off I can see us loaning out brooks. I'd have thought he'd be pushing for first team football this season to help his development.

On Saturday i watched Brooks, frustrating, he seems to always looks to play the easy ball , side ways or back! Never makes a killer pass, maybe he's told to play like that, he's a young lad who probably needs loaning out, because I can't see what he brings to the team.

I agree, he seemed reluctant to want to go down the wing with the ball a few times. I think a loan would do him the world of good, I think he's the confidence has understandably been drained from him after last season.

Couldn’t agree more. He finally took on his man late in the half and beat him with ease… why not more?? Decent cross for goal though.

Will we be looking at Grimes now the takeover is done.
I like him, nice player and we need a midfielder

I don't know if he's that good, mate. Neat and tidy, but he's characteristically Swansea.
Lacks cutting edge, zero drive in him, just a bit of a nothing player. A team going for top two needs more in the middle of the park.
