I don't know if he's that good, mate. Neat and tidy, but he's characteristically Swansea.
Lacks cutting edge, zero drive in him, just a bit of a nothing player. A team going for top two needs more in the middle of the park.
My Swansea mate says he is very good at keeping the ball in the middle

thing with grimes is hes a left footed midfielder him or billing would give us a good balance in midfield doubt billing would be available but he would be my choice a left side of burrows billing and brereton would be as good as owt in the championship

Would happily revisit this one with us losing Arblaster and Peck not quite being there yet. Established championship player, Norwood vibes.

Sounds similar to Tom Davies
Not the one we have it doesn’t. Davies is a lot more than that, picking it the ball and driving up the pitch looking to break lines. Problem is he needs to be fully fit and confident in his body and I’m sure he is just yet.

Grimes always seemed like a tidy player to me and would be a welcome addition imo.

I get the feeling that Peck is running on fumes at the moment, and Souza is clearly not 100%. Davies on the other hand looks to be getting stronger and growing into the role.

Get Grimes in and with Hamer in the mix we have a quality quintet to rotate at this level.

If true not sure what to think.Hes got a lot of experience in this division but he's part of the 'Swansea pass it sideways and don't go anywhere brigade' so apart from the experience I'm not sure what he brings. We need a Blaster replacement more than anything and I'm not sure he's that or that he's any better than Davies or Peck ? If it's just a numbers game then OK but when everyone is fit ( not counting Blaster)does he get in our first 11? Ie is he first choice to play along side Vini ?

He’s a very tidy player. Nice to watch.

We’re missing people who break the lines and beat a man though. Which is what Blaster would do when he’d recieve a pass. Spin and accelerate away starting an overload.

Not sure Grimes does that. Though not against it.

He's left footed so brings balance to the midfield but he's 29 signed up till 2027 and will cost more than any re sale value. Much rather we go for his fellow team mate Harry Darling CB with only 6 months left on his contract.

First 3mins he's like a left-footed Norwood. After that, you see more to his game and he's actually quit mobile

he will fit in well with our style then sideways backwards football having said that we know wilder likes a left footed midfielder i.e. fleck and the links with the forest lad

Davies was box-to-box last night, looking better and fitter every game.

Yeah, despite the protestations of some that we've been playing with two holding players, we haven't, and it's been clear to me that since that first game where both Peck and Davies were pushing on and evacuating the middle, that Sydie has now been told to stay deeper. It's been really noticeable in the last couple of matches.
Davies is so much more than a holding player which is why if he can stay fit he would be much more of an asset next to Souza.

Really like Davies, he’s getting better a better every game, to say he’s no played football in so long. You can tell he’s got it, a number of times his first completely ghosts opponents out of the game.

It would be nice if possible to see a midfield three of Souza flanked by grimes and Davies all technically very gifted.

that would be a good 3 but where does hamer go then ? i would be happy with hamer souza and davies

I’d play Hamer and O’Hare in behind a central striker
i wouldnt play o'hare at all seth been very dissapointed with him albeit i think hes been played in the wrong position for most of the season just like hamer personally i would like us to find a system that enables us to play with 2 strikers sunderlands 2 lads last night caused us all sorts of problems last night

Has he been any worse than Gus in the last few?
Albeit the last month have been O'hares best and some of Hamers worst.

He actually looks like what Peck will grow into.
I know its a HL but he's been consistent for quite a while now, and consistency is something else we're lacking in midfield. He's not the destroyer or the athlete I'd want but he's a Peck upgrade if not a Blaster one.

yes he has been slightly better because wilder has changed his position just dont think hes done enough so far this season you only have to think back to derby day and what hamer did to bannon to see how good he is

Hamer is by far and away the best player we have. He's our genuine game changer.
I'm just saying, O'Hare has got more in him and.i wouldn't write him off. Wilder will get the best out of him.

WEEEERS NAVIDAS HERRHITLER AND HIS GINGER FOE, FANNY CUNTALL.
