The back 5 do let us down an awful lot. Granted the midfield leaves them exposed some games, but it feels like a lot of attacks this season turn to goals.
Not wedding to xG but they scarcely have 0.5 xG and have scored twice.

This isn’t a resilient defensive team like last year.

The level of performance going forward should see us ahead.

To much inconsistency all season and maybe would have been the same if wilder had started the season.
Ultimately probably good enough for top six.

But going to be a stretch to be good enough AND give everyone else a 6 game head start.

We’ve played well but we’ve failed to put the top teams to bed in key moments. Bamford misses a reasonable chance, we don’t get a good shout for a pen then we give two soft goals by not focusing.

Yeah, that's the story of the season. The inability to turn good performances into three points, let alone one.
I don’t understand why there is any discussion of playoffs this season. Not only is it probably out of reach, I don’t want this lot anywhere near them given their inability to show any leadership/character when they’re up against it

And if we wasn't to go up how many will we loose next season? And with no parachute payments can you see us making the signings to replace the players that might leave?

Tanganga it’s pretty average, made to look better when covering defending midfielder is good
Tanganga is not average he is a very good solid defender and makes lots of last ditch tackles and blocks when he has no right to win the ball he has been exposed to a shit midfield most of the season and a shit CB pairing he can't do it all alone. He is the best signing by far we have made this season in my eyes.

yeah it’s almost like relying on promotions to the premier league to then get instantly relegated every three years isn’t the best business model

Might be a good thing. Get rid of the expensive core that have failed to deliver and go and find gems like JOC, Baldock, Fleck etc.

Riedewald is real class. Hoever is not
We’ve missed him.

Can’t help but feel that him being out has cost us as well.

Overall you start to add things up and it just means we’re not good enough, certainly not to overcome such a diabolical start.

The owners have to accept their idiocy of the summer in reading the situation has blown it. Totally unnecessary and hopefully they put their money in and own it.
