So whats everyone think will happen tomorrow?

I am going for a 1-0 victory to the red and white wizards.

Well done Blades

Great win, bit nerve wracking at times, particularly in the first half but got more comfy as it went on.

Captain's performance from Monty, incredible desire to win the game. Top man.

Fair play to everyone who went, made loads of noise and it sounds like it was more than a little hairy before the game. Hope everyone makes it back safe and sound.

Aye, our dalliance with the bottom 3 made this one seem ever do important. My guts have been churning this after (not nearly as much as during a mid 80's trip to The Old Den mind...:D). Let's hope the realisation that we've got a fight on our hands will re ignite some passion on and off the pitch.

I'm going to get fucking hammered, starting shortly.......:D

I remember that one, if it was the 83 one. I seem to remember Alan Young scoring though I might have dreamt that. I do remember bobbin it sat on the coach outside afterwards.
Mebbes they particularly don't like us because we seem to have quite a good record down there. Or at least I've seen us win there twice.

Well done lads. There is no substitute for quality and the fat lad has it in spades. We badly need to keep this footballer.

Battlers and scufflers can always play above themselves occasionally. Class is there week in; week out.

Great response to the Leicester robbery by the way. Having that happen in the last minute can hit the confidence and make you wonder what you've got to do to get the result. There seemed to be no jangling nerves in the last 10 minutes today. But it was certainly there at the back of my mind.

No doubt that Reidy is the real deal and if we can extend his loan then any relegation worries should disappear very quickly. 3 'footballers' in midfield today which was great to see but Monty's contribution was as important as anyone else's today.

Sounds overly dramatic but it's difficult to think of many players of the quality of Andy Reid who we could attract to the Lane. I wonder if he fancies a drop of one division and 15k a week?

I think you mixed your numbers up. I take it you meant "I wonder if he fancies a £15K a week drop to one"?

A bit later Len, I'd guess 86 but can't remember. It was New Years Day I think and a 11AM kick off. It was freezing and we lost 3-1. It was the height of the hooly days and the atmosphere around the area was really evil.

One of those days when you got absolutely fuck all out of it and wondered why you bothered. Mind you, I've had a few thousand of those since.......:D

I remember 2 really dodgy trips , once in the car once on the coach. I think we won one of them about 4-1 and sawn off telegraph poles even made an appearance ,coming out of the car park under the bridge when you are one of only two cars was an experience. The other time on the bus resulted in us being followed and bricked right through London with quite a few windows going through. Probably the most eventfull away match ever with what followed later that night.

W had a great trip to West Ham. Our coach was full of hard bastards (of mining stock....:D) and we got stuck in a traffic jam. Some of the lads were mouuthing at kids acting hard in alley ways. "where's your famous ICF one shouted" at exactly the point loads of lads appeared with basdeball bats, 4 X 2's. One even had a gun in a holster - no clue how real! Some tried to get off and were sprayed woith ammonia. Our window was put through and the wooden stick stopped about 1/2 " from my head. I was sprayed in glass. The WH lads got cocky and started to board the bus , at which point they got a real good kicking. One was stuck in the door with blades pulling his arms and West Ham pulling his legs. His head formed a punch bag. Eventually he escaped, minus leather jacket, plus lots of bruises.

We then had the coldest trip home I've ever had, windowless!

Them were 't days"!

:D

Is that a cliffhanger? First child conceived? Met the mrs? Decided to move to Worksop?
The one I remember I'm pretty sure was 83 in the middle of a run towards the end of the season when we'd left it too late to go up although we had the most expensive squad in the league.
They had the away fans next to the home fans with just a bit of mesh between and I remember fans coming out of the crowd being walked along the track at the front blood streaming from head wounds.
I also remember going when Richard Cadette scored a last minute winner for them, must have been mid 90s when we were incredibly shit.

4 away games missed in 6 and a bit years, 4 1-0 wins. I'm starting to wonder if it's a conspiracy :D

Good performance defensively today which made a nice change for me. Bartley, Nosworthy and Montgomery played extremely well.

How things change. No different to any other ground today. A few gestures from the other end being about as terrifying as it got. Blades fans singing on the packed station platform afterwards, with no trouble.

"You're not scary any more..."

Decent performance today, although some of our marking on crosses was dreadful (they had about three free headers in the box and failed to get any of them on target). We obviously need to sort that out quickly, as not all opponents will be so generous in their finishing.

Still, there were plenty of positives from the performance, with Andy Reid being top of the list.

What a difference there is in the atmosphere away from home. A player like Ched Evans, booed before he set foot on the pitch at BDTBL, today cheered to the rafters from first 'til last.

Good atmosphere from the Blades fans facilitated by unreserved seating and sensible stewarding (in that I didn't even notice there were any stewards...) Well done Millwall.

got back from work in time to watch the end of the second half online. great result, didn't think we'd come home with 3 points before the match. still not seen the goal.
all i could hear was blades fans singing their hearts out-well done all.

Watched the second half on-line and it looked a solid, professional performance, much like the Lister game, (until we wus robbed) hopefully we have turned the corner, I aibt getting excited yet though........................well done Blades

Anf the lads were in top voice too, all you could hear was Blades...........................

Thought Reid and Yeates tied for motm today. Both were immense. Millwall had 10 minutes from the kick-off then the Blades grew in strength.

Great performance from the lads today.
You really got the feeling that this could be the turning point. Blades fans were immense today, really got behind the lads.
The board need to break their necks to keep Andy Reid. He was brilliant today, as was Britton and Monty again.
Well done lads.

I also thought Yeates was impressive today, looked confident and able to beat his opponent every time. Great assist for the goal as well.

I have said it before and I will say it again, do not underestimate the power of Sheffield United.

My reports from the frontline tell me we won that too.

Lowton was my man of match. Great tackling, good passing and strength.

Nos had a strange game. He looked way off the pace in the first half, but thought he was excellant in the second half.
