Why do we need a cb or rb?
Spend the money on two strikers and a no. 10.

Had too many squad fillers in the past, which cb or rb do we replace? Anyone bought or loaned must be an improvement on what we have in the first eleven.

Nah... I'm sure he'd be a decent player, but we don't need another centre half and it sounds like he's more of a traditional fullback than a wingback

Bash is having the form of his life so can't see Wilder using up a loan for the three central positions. If he can play RWB then maybe, as Wilder seems to be less keen on Freeman of late and Baldock is about the same standard. A top class RWB would be a good shout but feel we need a forward and an attacking mid far more and Wilder's talked about that too as the priority.

Not sure he'd get many starts but would push Basham for the RCB spot. Local lad, Prem experience, better than Crainie - all sounds positive if he's not too expensive

I get the feeling Wilder doesn’t fancy Freeman or Baldock for the RWB spot so it wouldn’t surprise me if we signed someone in that position.

Not sure how attack minded he is but the final ball from both sides at wingback hasn’t been sparkling..although Stevens is 10x better than he was last season.

I don’t think Basham needs replacing but a better option there certainly allows Wilder to use Basham more in a defensive midfield role.

Jonjoe Kenny might be an option from Everton for RWB.

Kyle Walker Peters from Spurs would be a better RWB fit

Yes, but Pochettino has said in the past week that KWP isn’t going anywhere this January. They’ve had injuries in that department, and won’t be sending him out.

Sheffield United have been linked with a January loan move for Everton starlet Mason Holgate. The Blades are reportedly one of a number if clubs considering a move for the defender, who has been told he can go out on loan when the January window

he's from Donny but I don't know him.

he's also the lad who tried to get Firminho sent off by playing the race-card. One of the most unedifying things I've seen on a football pitch recently ....

not needed. (read that as you may)

I doubt we'll be at the front of the queue but you never know.

Grew up on the street next to him, a good, humble lad and a great player.

Surely they'd be bigger takers than us that could pay more of his wages?

Don’t think paying his wages is a problem think they’re more concerned about his development at 22 surely it’s his chance to make it or move on.

Not saying we would be the ideal fit but if we were yet were offering to contribute less I’m sure Everton would go for it

Could this actually be a mistake? Could Dowell be the Everton player we're in for? It would make more sense.

Leeds apparently have an interest now in Holgate, due to their many injuries in that department.

Surely defence is not really an issue to us - ball in opposition net is our main issue

Depends we could improve on Crainey whose contract is up in Jan but Holgate wouldn’t be that cover.. I think we may just extend his contract

I’ve been disappointed with Both Freeman and Baldock this season. The quality of ball into the box hasn’t been there and I think with an improvement is quality deliveries we would certainly score more.

Having said that I also don’t think Holgate is the answer to that issue either
