It's a short term attempt to solve problems the coaching staff don't either have the aptitude or the energy to tackle themselves.

The answer to 'my players aren't good enough to play exactly how I want them to' can't just be 'sign more players'. There needs to be adjustment to your players strengths and coaching to find improvements.

Everything I've seen since Wilder came back in 24 is that we have a lazy coaching set up. There's been no attempt to find away of consistently creating chances and now the talent level isn't higher than the opposition consistently, it's stark how clueless the players look interesting of patterns of play, getting players in positions to hurt the opposition etc
The coaching set up has changed since 24.

Last 10 years
United are a poor attacking team from the POV of patterns of play and repeatable actions that create chances, and have been since early 2020. Hecky's teamwas extreme talented and athletic and relied on a high press+ Ndiaye. Very basic plans outside that. Since Wilder returned, it's been Burrows dinks down the line to a CF to try and hold it up till Hamer gets there, direct stuff to a CF and knock downs or hope Gus, Brooks or Seriki win 1 v 1.

So yes, United have been a poorly coached attacking team for 6 years and have struggled mightily to create anything against good teams

I said 10 not cherry pick.

And I said United's current attacking coaching is lazy. Not sure why my opinion of something from 7 years ago is relevant?

But United were never a really high scoring team outside of 16/17 under Wilder.

16/17 - 1/24
17/18 - 10/24
18/19 - 4/24
19/20 - 15/20
24/25 - 6/24

Points win leagues. Not interested in high scoring. Points on the board.

And yet, in almost overwhelming numbers, the best teams score the most goals and win the most leagues. Strikers and creative players cost the most money and earn the biggest wages. Managers who set up teams to create enough chances to score 2+ almost every game get the best jobs.

Weird that

Arsenal 1-0 themsleves to a title, hence the chant. Weird that eh.

Why do you think Arsenal are tagged with 'boring Arsenal' ?
Because fans are unimaginative?. The song was a pisstake from Arsenal fans while they were smashing teams.

Why would I want to look before the two titles Arsenal won under George Graham? My 5 year old makes better arguments than this

Wrong, it wasn't Arsenal fans originally, it was opposing fans. Where do you think Aresenal fans got it from? I get better riposte from my goldfish.

I personally think Marsh is the most naturally gifted player ive seen at our academy and he reminds me of a young James maddison
The reason I believe he still might make it (here, he'll definitely make a career as a footballer regardless) is that his style doesn't Need physicality. Yeah a bit stronger and faster would help every footballer, but he doesn't play with his back to goal, he doesn't get marked easy, he doesn't look to beat players with speed. Instead he moves into spaces, floats in dangerous areas, passes around players etc. Even a player like David Brooks had to keep his pace and work on his strength, young Marsh has a style where if he perfects it, he could excel even with his lack of phsical attributes.

Didn't realise Marshi had so many admires! Iv been banging the drum for a number of years.
Fans think Wilder doesn't rate him! I beg to differ he wouldn't still be here if he didnt..Hopefully our no 10 in the new year.
Not a good idea saying something sensible about the actual topic.
Don't you realise everything on here sooner or later turns into a Wilder "debate".
It's the football equivalent of Godwin's Law.

It's not a personal attack on him. He's done 1,200+ matches. I don't think he has the energy or enthusiasm required to take something imperfect and difficult to mould and make it shine anymore. 'Experience' is a by word for 'needs less direction'
Yeah you contrast to the overlapping centre backs and that team was coached so well in patterns of play. You knew what was coming but the opposition couldn’t stop us because the formation just cleverly gave us overloads. Then O’Connell got injured and we couldn’t replicate as we didn’t prioritise his replacement at the right time.

We prioritised having our own keeper in Leadboots and striker in Sicknote Brewster. I still maintain we should have prioritised replacing Lundstram with another high tier midfielder and an alternative for O’Connell who could replace Egan as an alternative too.

We went mend and make do with Robbo, Ampadu etc.
