I'm not sure what the fees are, but we might have spent nearly £10m on Matos, McGuinness and Chong.

3 players that weren't key players in teams that were either relegated, or stayed up by the skin of their teeth.

Out went Anel, Souza and BBD/Brewster/Moore/JRS.
That is frightening that we squandered money on those 3 ..panic recruitment & replaced quality with tripe

And yet everyone is decrying not signing another after yesterday - Carlton Morris.
Like I said in shoutbox yesterday as a low cost aggressive target man with excellent cheating skills, Carlton Morris should have been on our radar since his dingle days. I am fairly sure he has scored more goals at Bramall Lane than any of the players currently in our squad. To bracket him with the awful Chong and McGuinness is daft and shows little football knowledge like our scouts did….

I think Tanganga is being unfairly criticised for his performances at right back. This is probably a position he doesn’t want to be at, but the lad has stepped into the breach to help the team. This current team absolutely screams 5 at the back, 3 in the middle and 2 up top…Playing a lone striker at BDTBL is simply unforgivable…I just can’t understand why Wilder is so reluctant to go back to a system that made his.

Our defence is shit. McGuiness particularly, Mee is past it and Tanganga has got worse every game since he looked good at first. Problem is we have no one else to come in as alternatives. We are stuck until January by which time it may be too late. We have been fucked by the worst recruitment I can ever remember.

i was advocating on here for us to go for carlton morris so no suprise to me what he did yesterday weve brought league 1 standard players in on the cheap and thats where we will end up unless for one we get shut of these players and bring better quality to the club and two that wilder gets his act together and play players in their proper positions and doesnt carry on playing his favourites oh and please please can we start playing 2 strikers its no wonder were always playing sideways backwards football when theres not enough options in front of the ball

Signing dross is one thing. But we've spent an absolute bomb in fees for it. And god knows how high some of the wages are for the frees and loan players.

What gets me, is we don't learn our lessons. Keep spunking money on young strikers with half a decent season. Spunking wages on players who are continually injured, plagued by personal issues or who were half decent a decade ago.

There's no due diligence, what ever happened to wanting team captains and those with the right character/ background?

You'd also think yesterday it would have been drilled in to them to not concede straight from the second half kick off. And we get that from Peck, that's unacceptable for U8s

I thought this at the end of the window, but our transfer business this summer was absolutely atrocious. First, they couldn’t get folk in, then they panicked and bought a lot of trash. Yes, we have a team low on confidence but if this team had confidence then this is a Championship mid-table squad at best. We have a good keeper with no back-up, poor defence, poor midfield and poor attacking options. This will take a couple of years to sort out. Whoever is in charge of our transfers needs to be replaced prior to January, they’ve done a really, really, pathetic job.
Won’t be sacked both the managers Sunday carvery mates

When all the team give 3/10 performances, its the coaching not the individuals. Our fitness is still atrocious compared to the pressing teams. Even pre season Burton and York were running through us, so a lack of 90minute fitness has been the problem for a long time and remains unaddressed. Technical coaching is clearly inadequate as demonstrated through not scoring from corners. That along with pass selection, marking, out of possession control and positioning is among the reasons why we're so bad.

Mark McGuinness.
A man whose greatest contribution in life is probably adding a line to his glass every time he goes for a piss in a pub.

I don’t believe it’s technical from corners. We’ve been awful at scoring and defending from corners ever since the last promotion to the Prem under Hecky.

Every time we win a corner I’m disinterested. We hardly ever trouble anyone from them.

When we concede a corner I’m allus worried we’ll concede

We seem to have a height and bottle disadvantage to most teams.
