Mark McGuiness

He did get clipped but he didn't have a clue what was going off, let's be honest. Grant had got the other side of him ridiculously easy anyway. He literally doesn't do anything well.

I found it weird that McGuinness got game time when Wilder came back, then when he got brought in after Mee for injured, and then again today for Bindon.

Bindon is by far the better player and will improve.

Awful performance. Lost his man for the first goal. Embarrassed for the second. Let another guy go free five minutes after that who should’ve made it 3-0. Gave the ball away throughout. He can’t start for us again.
But you know he will. That's the thing. He couldn't wait to get him back in today, his face fits...

You know we're having an awful game when McGuiness makes more passes than anyone else, especially when he makes a sideways 6 yard pass look difficult.

I think people are harsh on him. His strengths are heading and kicking, he's not going to be good when we're playing a high press as he's going to be exposed as he was today. We can't give the ball away or get picked with the way we're playing press wise because our defence will struggle and not just McGuiness. West brom sat deep and just picked us off.

Inexplicable that we signed him from a relegated team on a 4 year deal.

He's laughing all the way to the bank and is playing at a level that's way above his pay grade. Would sooner Bindon played because he's obviously someone we rate if we're wanting him permanently from Forest rather than just sending him back.

McGuinness is Robinson-like in that he'll have an unscathed game every so often which is enough to keep his spot but whenever there's a cock up, he's usually right at the centre of it.

No coincidence that he's never played for a particularly good side at any point in his career (including this one) and no coincidence that our results picked up as soon as he was benched and dropped off once he came back.

Tough watch tonight as they got at him time after time. He can't complain at the alleged foul as he initially went for the man not the ball. Looked good against Stoke but was that mainly in an attacking sense from corners? Bindon played well v Norwich so unfortunate to be dropped.

My main issue with mcguinness is as soon as he gets caught, that's it. He is far too slow in every respect to recover errors. WBA targeted him second half.

Getting on the end of a few corners against Stoke bought him this start. He’s so bad. It doesn’t help that Tanganga goes to the left which makes him considerably worse in possession also. We need to bring in a left sided defender in Jan and have Mee as the third choice, McGuinness emergency backup.

I agree with all of this bar the Mee shout. You don't need to make him third choice, he has a lovely partnership with Tanganga that was blossoming before his injury. But we need better depth than this idiot

Glad Wilder specifically called him out tonight in both interviews because he absolutely deserved it
I've only heard one where he said he needs to be stronger, was that echoed?

Mee will probably be back for Birmingham, but I think Bindon has probably played himself into a future at United this season, in no small part thanks to McGuiness being utterly useless. Joke he was dropped for him tonight, he was better than Tanganga on Tuesday.

Said the same on both Radio Sheffield and Sky. Only player he mentions by name in terms of poor performance
