I don't think it is in the slightest. Any time he had the ball today he never looked to do anything apart from play the simplest ball possible, usually to the excessively deep centre mid of the week (this time it was Rothwell, oddly), never looked to move forward with the ball or make any sort of pass which would allow for a quick break. He is an old school centre back. Nothing more, nothing less. There's a place for that and it's not the Championship
Why would it not be in the championship?
I'd much rather him know his limitations and play the simple pass rather than trying something he's not comfortable with. His pass success rate was high, I don't want my centre halves thinking they're deep lying playmakers. When our players (Peck) who are supposed to be those players are giving away sloppy square passes that lead to the opposition scoring, I'm glad my centre half plays it safe and does his primary role.
 
Did ok. Perfectly fine option if all he’s got to do is battle a big lump, head it and boot it.

Don’t ask him to help with build up, or play through a press (cough Selles cough)
