Looks like Duffy off to ADO Den Haag according to Sky Sports this morning. Will never forget what he did at Hillsborough in silencing all those muppets bouncing up and down like they're all desperate for a piss . Good luck Duffy

Yep, GLTTL. Owes us nothing. Pity we never signed him earlier in his career, though. That goal, looking back, was the moment the tide turned in the differing directions for both clubs.

Quite simply, we wouldn't be where we are today without him.

In that whole crazy system that took League One and The Championship by storm, he was the orchestra conductor. He made us tick. We never replaced, we still haven't, we've just changed the shape.

That's absolutely spot on, thinking about it. Back then, we were being fed tripe about how we'll never adapt to that level and that we needed to spend to survive.

What we've achieved is nothing short of miraculous and we owe it to Wilder, Knill and the Duffys, Coutts and Sharps along the way...

So maybe this is what Mrs Fleck was getting at with her post yesterday?

He was the first brick in Chris Wilders amazing wall. Shame it ended like it did.

Hopefully Pardew plays him. Good move for him, nice scenery, English manager. A final jaunt in Europe to play against some of the biggest teams around isn't a bad way to wind a career down.

When he played well, we played well, it was as simple as that for a period. He was a player you were wanting to always get on the ball, because he could make things happen. Shame it ended how it did, but we should remember the 'Holy Trinity' - the best midfield League 1 has ever seen?

Great memories of him especially at Hillsborough.

He really fucking soured it though didn't he?

Soft lad.
