Maddison doesn’t come across as a Wilder type of player. Having said I haven’t really seen much of him so that’s only based on what I’ve read

Maddison on his day is class. He appears to have done well last season too, despite wanting to leave he knuckled down and scored 12 goals. However I'm not sure we need another number ten unless its anticipating Brooks leaving.

I don’t really see Brooks as number 10. Maybe he’ll grow into the role but he ain’t one yet. That leaves Duffy who won’t play every minute of every game. Sadly. And Holmes, on whom the jury is out. I’d like us to sign Maddison. He’d give us a different dimension.

I would only look at Maddison if Brooks left.

We are all saying we want 15 million for a youngster who’s scored 3 league goals.

But then saying £5 million etc is too much for someone proven to be an excellent player at league one level.

We have to be realistic.

Well he isn’t exactly playing he’s a rotation player really for us. I’m sure you can see my point we rate DB very highly as he has unbelievable potential. So we want 15million etc.

Pboro obviously rate Maddison very highly too and are looking at crazy figures for league one.

In regards DB has a championship player ever gone for £15million with similar appearances in a first team?

But name me a player that doesn't on a bad day that's affordable.

I hear what you're saying and I've no idea what we can and can't afford, despite some of the rumours of good money available.

I'm not pretending to be an expert on MM and wouldn't criticise our scouting and manager, but I can't help having an opinion and I've genuinely not seen enough from him imho.

I think we need a handful of players who will pretty much own a first team shirt to get to the next level (ie top 6).

If money only allows punts on younger lower league players with potential, then so be it. However I'm not sure MM would come cheap in either fee or wages listening to some.
