ManUre - who's going

I'm booked in with my lad, and one of my mates and his lad as well. Not quite the usual for a Manchester away day as we are taking the kids to the football museum before the match.

Booked it, packed it.....Bloody waiting for the day.

I wasn't initially going, but then decided otherwise...When's the nest time i'm going to get to see The Original United beat Media United in their own back yard?!?!

My workmate persuaded me with a free ticket - unfortunately it's in Stretford end. I shall admire you lot from afar and sit on my hands. At least I can still wear red and white

Not so long back this would have been nailed on for me...now.....I will probably wait...and wait......and wait.............then decide not to go. Same as the Boxing Day fixture..... Last year everyone in our household went..... this season......not one of us is going.........Its a sad day when the prospect of sitting in the local pub watching the scores come in is more appealing than an away-day on the lash.

Give me being there , than watching Jeff Stelling and cronies , any day of the week. The daft thing is i really believe we will win at Wigan ( they will have no idea how to play us ) , and win at Old Trafford ,( which will be the death of there manager )
Not saying everything is fine and dandy at BDTBL or being a happy clapper , but watching a game on tele or listening to RS is not like being there .

A dark night in Yeovil could be the exception last season.:)

6 of us sorted.

It's expensive but I'm not spending a fortune travelling to watch shit teams (including us) at shit grounds then missing a trip to Old Trafford.

I couldn't pay that price every week, but we don't have to worry about that for a while!

Could have got mine on Friday but had to wait till yesterday so my mates son could get one, been down for them this morning.

Ticket sorted just waiting waiting to arrange train tickets with other West and North Yorkshire Blades.
Me and my mate from York have both match tickets and train tickets booked complete with seat reservations on the train. I'll have to get a job as Blades away day organiser to fill my time when I retire ;)

No serious risk of us selling 8k is there? My sons mates are all bang up for it, lots of people I know have been put off by the £.

It's a generational thing, I guess. :)

UTB

haha not just a generational thing. For some people it's a shit if I go to this I'll be living off 20p spaghetti for a month thing... To be honest I do quite like spaghetti though so maybe should reconsider.

Me and the Mrs all sorted but daughter and her boyfriend only been going a couple of years and despite them having been to 6 away matches this season they stuck on 6500 pts. Reckon they will just make it. I turned down 2 exec box places to sit with the rest of the blades "family". I want an atmosphere and prawn sandwiches tend to repeat on me anyway

I wanted to go but doubt I can make it.

I was trying to hustle tickets of a couple of Man U supporting mates who might not go.

Where has all this optimism sprung from?? enjoy the day out lads, for me its not financial but just can't bring myself to go I won't watch the telly box either I will instead get as far away from a 4g signal as possible, all the family are going and the pressure to go is mounting (ticket bought should I change my mind) but I intend to stand firm, atb Daz

It's not optimism - it's just a "can't lose" game. Go and enjoy it, with some added lubrication. :)

So, after the initial disgust at the pricing, who's off to support the mighty Blades?

I'm in. :)

UTB
High prices, but how can you not go, we are really looking forward to the day, even better news is that we have also booked the Crowne Plaza in Colchester for the 15th to see the Blades in Colchester on the 16th ,600 miles round trip. plus we have Wigan, Bradford City and Peterborough, what a fab time to be a Blade fan

Friends of mine have season tickets at Old Trafford. Needless to say I'll be there as their guest

Purchased 4 tickets on-line on W*****day and received 3 in the post on Christmas Eve, guess I'll be having a trip to the ticket office on Sunday or Monday to get it sorted!

Prices disgusting, but train day out, all day supping and no doubt end up in ex-Serviceman's club at Trafford Bar for a cheap pint or several along the way... can't wait :)
