With how we played today and with our defence and total lack of midfield players picking up their runners.... I'm over the moon we kept it down to 3. That was abysmal. Still, take it on the chin, re group, get Egan, O'Connell, Hendo, back in and Fleck back up to speed, and who knows, we might even score a goal again.

Ball on the edge of their box, and the defender with it at his feet can stand and think about his options for a few seconds while we stand off.

That's the difference. No-one is getting into anyone.

I don't think we put a hard tackle in on them all night. It was embarrassing.

Sorry I've held off on Berge so far but he just doesn't look interested, he's miles off the pace, doesn't tackle, Wilder must be wondering what he's spent 23m on

One tackle of note, think it was Stevens, nice sliding hook tackle. Think it was about 84 minutes in.

Think they should all watch some of our games on DVD and see what they used to do.

That what makes us so angry and depressed. If we started bad and then got to safety we would see it as a success...We are doing the reverse and everybody is reacting negatively as a result.
It’s just a shame, all momentum has gone now. Proud of the lads for firing us up into such a safe position that I don’t have to worry too much.

Everything that worked for us before is now non existent. High press has gone (might be the heat), centre backs havent over/under lapped at all. Midfield hasnt picked up the ball and driven forward. Wing backs have played safe passes and when they've had a chance to get the ball in it's been woeful. 4 corners that either hit the first man or went over everyones heads.

Everything just looks so so laboured and weve looked under pressure whenever we have the ball for each of the 3 games. We have never had the ball zipping it around with me thinking a chance was coming - more "I hope we dont give this away and get hit on the break"

Let’s revert to the formation that got us 2 promotions in 3 years and see if we fare any better

It will be interesting to see how we perform with Henderson, Egan and O’Connell back in the team. If it’s more of the same then…

I can't believe how the lock down has turned a team from one extreme into the other?

Never for one minute saw this coming

I actually thought the lock down would work in our favour. Coming back fitter than the opposition. Fired up for a crack at Europe. How wrong was I?

Grateful that we are safe. Absolutely fkin sick that we've just about blown any chance of Europe. The saving grace being we were expected to finish bottom and we've proved every fker wrong

I hope we can pick it up again before the end of the season, as the players and Management deserve at least a top 10 finish

Has there actually been an update on O’Connell and when he might come back?

Am glad to get that out of the way. The second half was pretty much damage limitation. The only plus was mcgoldrick, who at least managed to hold up the ball and link up play. Biggest disappointment for me were the corners and the wing backs getting into good crossing positions and not getting the ball in. Mousset and zivkovik are both rapid so I would have liked to have seen a few balls banged across the box to at least make the defenders face their own goals. I think I would take 8th now if I was offered it. Don't think wilder would though.

Don't think fitness is our problem. I think we probably are fitter than day one of the season like Wilder said, but desire has completely evaporated.

We've still got to play Tottenham, Wolves, Chelsea and Leicester. We need to find some desire and get some results out of those if we want European football now.

Not looking good though.

Yes, it’s a shame because they’ve absolutely deserved it for the effort before the break.

Thats just the way I saw it mate. Not one decent corner or cross every one wasted.I think we are being unrealistic talking about Europe our squad could not deal with it without putting our league position in doubt. We have had a great four years and hopefully another few good years but Europe is just out of reach with our current squad.More than happy with the season but today and at Newcastle showed we are light in depth as far as our squad is concerned .Can only remember making three chances in three matches which says it all.Our defence as been our strength but without Egan and O'Connell it is a liability more so with uncreating mid field and none attacking threat.

Next time when the Blades want to throw any money away can they please throw some my way thankyou.

i cant be too critical tonight. i thought we played well tonight. 1st half competed well. but they scored 3 very good goals. we more threatening than in last 2 games

we came up against a £600m million team. seemingly high on confidence with a rejuvenated pogba, quality Fernandes. brilliant strikers in rashford & martial. who have hugely underachieved on paper shouldnt be 40pts behind liverpool & 20 off man city. because on paper & reputation they should be challenging for the title as that the front 6 at the peak is as good as the top 2. proven by solskjaer beating man city 3 of out the 4 games theyve had this season

Like you's, it boils our piss when playing them & the presenter/pundits call them United...
