No idea - but can't believe that St John's Ambulance guy is giving the middle finger.
Perhaps regular Paramedics are trying to take over the situation.

I went to that game with a mate who's a man United fan, we were in Blackpool with our girlfriends when we asked if they fancied a trip to Manchester and do some shopping, they hated football but we managed to persuade them, it'll be great I said, yeah it was, they never went again, small blessing I suppose.

"This is a code red, we have a ginge on the pitch and it doesn't appear to have arms."

Forgot to mention, the highlight of the game was when Currie had the ball around the centre of the pitch and the Stretford end started singing "Tony Currie wears a tampax" he stopped with the ball at his feet and looked down towards his middle, looked up at the Stretford end and shook his head at them, everyone laughed, typical Currie, great memories, not sure what the two girls thought of it, I'll ask her later, got married the same year!

Haha, I remember them singing that at Currie. They gave him a lot of stick that day. We were shocking.

The kid on the pitch in the photo had probably been crushed. The Stretford and Scoreboard ends were rammed that day and it looked packed solid an hour before kick off.
