Ok, so should we be really paying £10 million for a lad who has technically played 13 games?
We're probably going to pay the best part £20m for another striker who's played 0 games.

Yeah fair enough. Just seems like a way better deal for AFCB than us, which is not what usually happens when wilder does his business.
Bit bloody radical, waiting to see him play before he's judged.I'm happy with the signing, we need some younger more athletic players. He fits into that mould. He's clearly a talent, even the Bournemouth fans say so. Let's watch him play before we judge

so it doesn't matter Bob le blanc or Franck Crackingtackle had scored 100s or kept clean sheets for fun
I really don't think we are if this goes through.
for Bournemouth, played plenty before, just couldn't dislodge Wilson, not many strikers would to be fair, 10m may prove too much, or may be a steal
who knows, only time will tell, but the management team are obviously happy, so, so am i, they don't get a lot wrong do they, and i think this will be aswell as McBurnie, seems we have a much larger budget than thought
McBurnie, not Maupay. We've had a £15m bid rejected but I think we'll go back.
He played one season which he played 28 games so i'd hardly call it plenty.
Will have to trust CWAK on this one.
Just leave it at "without thinking"Sky reporting it's been accepted. Could rise to 9.5 million. So I suppose it would be 4/5 up front, which in the grand scheme of things isn't that bad of a deal. Social media Blades kicking off already without thinking logically.
IF Wilder thinks that we should yes. He and his team are the real experts in the matter not us, and I’d have thought that he’s done enough with both individual player and the team overall in the last 3 seasons to warrant a fairly high degree of trust in his decisions.Ok, so should we be really paying £10 million for a lad who has technically played 13 games?
I know who you meant, I just can't see us going back in for him if we sign Mousset, both similar players and can't see them playing together. I think it's one or the other.
"could rise to 9.5mill" sounds a lot better. Presumably this is if he makes loads of appearances and scores 10+ goals and we stay up. In which case the fee would have been fine.SSN just reporting it now:

BLADES' £9.5M MOUSSET BID ACCEPTED
Bournemouth have accepted a bid which could rise to £9.5m for striker Lys Mousset from Sheffield United.

I've got an idea...let's stop debating the merits of any player we are linked with and just say 'yep fucking brilliant, gonna be the best player weve ever.signed and we've got him for an absolute bargain price' then the forum will be a much nicer place
Everyone on here trusts Wilder but it doesn't mean everyone has to have the same opinion and if those opinions are negative you're automatically a pig or you've got an agenda ffs.
For the record our signings and my rating
Robinson excellent top champ player
Freeman excellent top champ player
Jags excellent low cost, low risk
Morrison excellent low cost high potential
Possibles
McBurnie top of.my.list
Maupay second on my.list
Assombalonga third.on my list
Moussett wasnt on any list but in Wilder we trust
I fully agree with the debates, that’s what forums are all about. However anybody who writes off a player before he’s been given a chance to prove himself at a club is a fool and that’s just as bad as clapping every newcomer in as ‘fucking brilliant’. It’s the individual certainty of their own views that makes me laugh even though time and again they could be proved wrong. As somebody had already said, nobody really knows how players will perform in OUR setup, some will flourish and others could disappoint time will tell.I've got an idea...let's stop debating the merits of any player we are linked with and just say 'yep fucking brilliant, gonna be the best player weve ever.signed and we've got him for an absolute bargain price' then the forum will be a much nicer place

Must admit on the face of it this is slightly underwhelming but Wilder has pulled so many rabbits out of hats, be it free transfers or shelling out decent money, its getting really difficult to think anything other than "he must be decent if Wilder is after him".
Off the top of my head McGoldrick, Madine, Egan, Jake Wright, Crainie, Clarke etc all came in with question marks over them and all proved astute signings.
He could pair Fred & Rose West up front for us and I'd expect them to do a job .
similar to Brooks then![]()
