I'd say we may have someone in mind for the second loan. Plus, Bournemouth perhaps wouldn't entertain a loan. Finally, if we did loan him and he finally got some proper minutes performing well in the process, we'd be gutted we didn't sign him in the first place.

Like you say, it's a punt, and a relatively low risk one.

But that's assuming Bournemouth would agree to that. The fee would have to be higher than what we paid to make it worth their while. Plus, he's in the last year of his contract, so that kind of rules it out.

The RC post suggests Mousset is barely a dent in our budget.

Le Havre[edit]
He joined Le Havre academy in 2006 after playing for local clubs Soquence Graville and Havre Caucriauville. He graduated to Le Havre II where he impressed scoring 14 goals before making his debut for Le Havre first team, again scoring 14 goals in 34 games.

AFC Bournemouth[edit]
On 30 June 2016, Mousset joined AFC Bournemouth from Le Havre for a €7.3 million transfer fee.[2][3] He scored his first goal for Bournemouth in an FA Cup tie against Wigan Athletic on 6 January 2018.[4]

Yes we want to stay up, but if we don't lets make sure we have a stronger team/squad than last season.
We're signing the players to make sure that's the case, just need to ensure no matter what we stick with Wilder!
