That's a horrible affliction, really feel for the guy and his family. :(

That is terrible news, it's an awful disease. Wish him all the best.

I remember an excellent performance from him at Old Trafford when we were in the Premiership, he had Wes Brown amongst others on the back foot on numberous occasions. It didn’t work out, but his athletic ability was there to see.

Horrible, horrible news. Thoughts with him and his.

He’s unfortunately pulled out the short straw with that. Very sad news. There was a study on it in Italy and they found a link with football players over there. IIRC, they seemed to think it was connected either the stuff they marked the lines with or something they sprayed on the grass. A famous fiorentina player had it.

The great Jimmy Johnstone who played briefly for us died of it at the age of 61, it is a vile disease and a terrible way to go.

Awful news & a terrible disease, thoughts go out to him & his family.

I really am lost for words on this one except to wish him the most possible comfort through this.

That really is awful news. Might not have been one of us for long, but most of us remember that shift at Old Trafford.

Once a Blade, always part of our family.

I was there that night at Old Trafford, he ran them ragged and the ' tackle' on him by Heinze in the box was a stonewall penalty.

As you say, Once a Blade.

Poor lad, that really is horrible disease, I only know of one person that had it and it wasn't nice.
I just hope he remains as comfortable as it's possible to be.

From a personal perspective, it’d be tablets, warm milk & whiskey, whilst listening my favourite songs. He & his loved ones are unfortunately looking at a very distressing 5 yrs or so.

Sad news, seen some recent videos which were hard viewing. All the best to him and his family.

I was at old Trafford that night, surrounded by Man United fans sat on my hands. Luton ran them ragged,he was like lightening

Thanks for the memories Luton, stay strong. Once a Blade, always a Blade

I've just read the symptoms, what a cruel, unfair, piece of shit world this can be at times eh!?
I wish him all the best:(

Horrific. I believe MND affects those of Black Caribbean background more so than other ethnic groups too, not sure there is much that can be done for it, poor guy.

Horrible.

Awful coincidence that so many bad things have happened to members of the same United team.

Terrible news. Found out about this illness quite recently when I found out one of my favourite musicians Victor Bailey (Weather Report/Joe Zawinul) was suffering from it. They started an online fund to assist him with medical costs but sadly he passes away a short time after.

My wifes friend died from it last year. The degeneration in just 6 months was shocking. And all the while brain function was fine. It must be like watching your body die, while your aware of it. Naturally once the symptoms hit the vital organs you do slip in and out of consciousness. But just a truly awful way die.
