No doubt Gerard (a fellow Scouser) will have persuaded him.
In fairness several English players (Gaza, Butcher, Wilkins) all said it was a great experience playing in Scotland.
He was a free transfer so can demand high wages...higher than what we offered.
His choice will have been a lower end PL club where he might just be a squad player or play for one of the best supported clubs in Europe.
He’s more likely to be a regular at Rangers with a great chance of winning some honours.….can understand the attraction.
Signing on fee apart, l doubt the lazy twat is much better off wages wise. Neither of the Old Firm pay average PL wages. He’d have been better off sitting on the bench at a mid table PL club if anyone actually wanted him.
Sitting on the bench would probably help the team to be fair.
