Agree, last nights interview Wilder basically said we have an agreement to bring in a striker on loan
But that club will only allow him to come to us once they’ve made their signing, which assume would be for another striker.
He inferred it’s now out of our hands and it’s just a waiting game. He expects it to happen but it could be right on loan deadline day.

So we need to keep an eye out for any loan deals for strikers over the next 2 weeks.
Once another club brings in a striker then we should be allowed to bring in our striker from that club.

If fit I'd prefer Hogan over Gallagher but as he seems to have real issues with fitness I reckon Gallagher is the better option. Ne he's not pacy but he's a real unit and is more than just a target man - based on what limited footage I've seen of him - and I'll admit its not live!

Joao would be great but can't see it happening and would imagine Joao would favour a move back to Portugal, if that's in the offering. He's only going to come to us if we increase his wages you would think, otherwise why move - if you look at it from his point of view.

But if the supplying club miss rather target on deadline day we are screwed. Think he's pushing expectation to the end of the month or he's got a contingency or we could be left with no one other than what we have, Sharp and Clarke.

Quite simply the arrival of a striker or two ideally is critical to the success of this season.
Billy will still pop up with goals but his contribution outside the box isn’t what a team pushing for promotion can put up with.
Clarke looks half the player of this time last season.
McGoldrick is neat and tidy but not a player getting in positions to bag plenty
Woodburn will get half a dozen
Rest of the team has a few in them...perhaps Freeman being our next biggest goal threat!!!

That just isn’t good enough for a team wanting to go up. We HAVE to get this right otherwise it could end up being a rather lame season.
