Brayford crocked and back with daddy, Mcnut's can't get a look in (again) and Kelly looking class, hopefully playing regularly will do him the world of good.
Kelly's the only one I'm really bothered about out of those three...
 
Interesting that apart from the view by a few that JB has been 'immense', there are posters critical of Brayford's capacity to lose the ball in areas of the pitch that are damaging. Could there be a deal to be done?
 
I'm hoping Kelly becomes our first choice left back before too long. I don't think Lafferty or Hussey offer enough long term.

Still doesn't sound like Brayford's his old self by the way.

Yeah but playing well prior to injury because Brayford isn't a shit player.

McNulty not getting played, not surprising since he is a bit of twat and other clubs can spot it as well. He will be be lucky to find a League 2 club next season.
 
Well, McNulty who should definitely be in our side can't get a game elsewhere. Not surprised.
 
Brayford is playing against the likes of Newcastle ,Kellys playing against the likes of the Slug and Lettuce ,and we listen to some nerds who go on football forums to decide Brayfords had it and should stay with daddy and Kelly is going to be the new Roberto Carlos. McNulty entourage must get pissed off with him not getting a game.
 
Is mcnuts out of contract in the summer?? I sincerely hope so. Hes a bit of a fool to himself that lad and i think he flatters to deceive. Ive seen little bits of his play where he looks like he could have something...but those little sparks are too few and far between. He wont ever make a decent championship player or even league 1 standard whilst ever he has a hole in his arse. A rumoured bad attitude to go with not lot of footballing ability. Get shut pronto. Brayford....never really got the love in for him. Yes a great attacking fullback (especially for league 1 standard) and i liked the lads attitude. But take away his attacking qualities which have been mediocre for quite a while now, and his favourite manager in Clough, and he suddenly looked very poor. Its not helped with the fact that the lad isnt a particularly good defender (i still blame him for the daft goal for Hull Shittys equaliser at Wembley in the semi). Another who just isnt worth the outlay. Hopefully Burton will look to buy him for a fee though i think it will be nominal and we will have to take a severe financial hit on him. It will sting but thats the way it is sometimes. The young lad..havent seen owt of him and hopefully he is another to come off the conveyer belt to challenge the first team.

I doubt we will and going on some comments on this forum I don't think many Blades fans care if he does. Although out of the shit we have endured since being in League 1 there has only been Brayford who looks like he gave a shit while others around him seemed like they couldn't give a toss.

I don't want John to go because Freeman is not a long term solution at right back and once Freeman gets his new contract he could turn to shite again.

No but only because of the finances , Brayford is a quality footballer and would do great for us again given the chance ,but he has like Coutts suffered a bad injury and the recovery is long term mentally as well as physically ,and we cant afford to see him through the recuperation. Some on here don't understand the concept of being injured and recovery .The want it now brigade is a sign of these impatient times unfortunately ,and players are seen as wankers and wage thieves for being injured. Fuck knows what they would have been like 30 years ago when a torn cartilage was 6 months out and sometimes career ending and keyholes were in doors not in a hospital theatre.

Initially i would have agreed with you, but i think even JBs attitude turned to a 'fuk this for a game of soldiers' sometime last season. Not blaming the lad cos quite frankly he was surrounded by most who played like they couldnt give a fuk, and thats why anyone who showed they did shone through - hence Billy being a clear player of the season. Wouldnt be against JB coming back, but his general play needs.to.have improved tenfold for him to be worth both his place in the team, and the financial outlay. Not sure its gunna happen but i would love to be pleasantly surprised.

He might get better, he might not.
We simply can't afford to wait and find out....let's move on and hopefully get something back on the outlay...also think his attitude changed as other's have mentioned, and he lost his love for the club a bit...hence the performances this season and his 'running to daddy'.

All abaht opinions...

Well a bit difficult for right back to carry the team all on his own especially when coming back from injury. Although we did hit a good bit of form in December last year.

From a finance point of view then McCabe can save a few quid not having John back.

For a player who has given us some great moments and has always had a good relationship with the fans, I find the "running back to daddy" comments pretty crass and pathetic. I can see why people slag off the likes of Hammond, Collins and McNulty but not John especially considering his injuries.

Totally agree. It is hard to nigh on impossible to 'carry the team' coming back from injury. To expect otherwise.would be plain daft. My observation was that he was a willing lad who through injuries and other issues became more and more disillusioned with life at the Lane. It happens, we cant always be happy with everything in life. I dont hold that against the lad, and i didnt expect him to 'carry the team', but i did think he belatedly joined the 'fuk it' brigade last season. Understandable i suppose, most fans did.

What has Wright been like in a Blades shirt? Not seen him so far but he captained Oxford to promotion last season so he can't be utter shite.

Who says hes utter shite ? He has done well especially chaperoning OConnell and EEL ,not been on a losing side yet ,hardly shite.

The vast majority of those performances were for Clough...I find the bollocks he spouted about his love for Sheffield United a little crass tbh, when quite clearly, he was/is following Clough about like a lost puppy and performing to those levels, purely for him...

Different Jake Wright. You're talking Jake Wright Snr - CB signed this summer whereas 1danewhitehouse was talking Jake Wright Jnr (no relation) - academy forward on loan at York.

Hopefully that chance will come again next season, if we finally manage to escape this graveyard of a division. That way, we have proven quality at that level and JB gets to play in front of the sort of crowds he took a pay cut to sign for us and be a part of.
