Diego has so far had one sub appearance, in the League Cup. He's a regular in their U23s, playing mainly as a winger, with very mixed reviews. Seems a long way from their first team.

Fact is, he's gone from being dire for us to "outstanding" for Burton in a matter of days, despite being a level up. Forget outstanding, when was the last time anyone could credibly describe a performance of his for us as being simply "quite good"? There is more to it than simply a return to fitness – that's something that builds over time, not something that's switched on overnight. I remember saying last season that he was in bad need of a pre-season. He had that and was just as mediocre at the start of the season. There is something more to it than simply a return to fitness.

I hope so a definite improvement on Freeman , but in reality it depends on United getting promoted.
If we don't I'm certain United will want to get him off the wage bill.

As I said in a previouse post Brayford (in my opinion ) played to get away in his two games at Bramall lane,in fact he was embarrassing the way he played , Wilder has no room for players who don't try ,I don't think he will be back whatever happens this season. I was a fan of his and could t wait to see him in a blades shirt again, but those two home games turned me off him for good any player that let's his team and fans down by not trying is no good.

Agreed mate, and I was also a big fan. You see players play poor maybe because they're struggling for fitness or form, but in those game, he didn't even do the basics. It was like he'd never played a professional game at times and he's better than that, in fact at L1 level, he should have been better than most even when he was not 100%.

His heart wasn't in it.

Coutts has been stealing a wage for 2 years .
I honestly think he's wasn't a poor this year as some people have said, admittedly not up to his loan period.
United upturn in results has more come about with the change in system, playing 3 at the back with 2 wing backs and the associated confidence upturn.
This would of suited Brayford either as a wing back or what I think is his best position centre half.
EEL , Brayford and Hussey would be great central defensive combination.
