Last time we were in the Prem versus the 'Big Six'.

Tottenham 2-0 Blades
Arsenal 3-0 Blades
Man City 0-0 Blades
Liverpool 4-0 Blades
Man Utd 2-0 Blades
Chelsea 3-0 Blades

Let's hope we can do a bit better this time around.
“Nowt for us here” That was the philosophy that eventually got Warnock the sack. Whereas Chrissie likes to leave out the “front door.”

It should be all about us going into it and continuing with what has got us this far, not doing a " We're just happy to be here" Warnock.
So what if Man City, Chelsea, Liverpool or Man Utd thump us, who cares ? We won't be the only ones.

We know full well that the other teams players will only have to trip over their own feet and go down like a dying swan to get a penalty, we know that every 50/50 will go against us, every advantage will be ignored and a foul given instead, we know the ref will get in the way and the loose ball will lead to a goal against us, we know that VAR will malfunction just as we need it to confirm something obvious in our favour, and then to balance the decisions out and appear to be fair the refs will give us a series of meaningless free kicks late on when the game is already lost.

This is what we'll have to endure, more so than any other club that has been promoted or ever will be promoted.

And you know what ? Fuck them. I hate Premier League teams and I hope 30,000 others are seething like mad bulls at every game and at every decision, even if we're wrong. Bring on the hatred of the Warnock years but with some better quality in our play as well.

It's no use changing what we are good at, we've got to where we are by playing the way we do, just keep it going and see how far it can take us

i know there is no good time to play liverpool. because that front 3 can rip best teams apart like barcelona realised. but could jan 1st be a help because we could take advantage of exhausted or weakened side. we will be there 9th game in 29 days. that without taking into account the 7hr flights to Qatar & Christmas in there

Blackburn away. 0-0 until last few minutes and they got a free kick. Was it Jansen? Top corner 0-1.

Everton away - Bromby got tripped in the area. Instead of going down he tried staying on his feet.

We were so naive.

Last time I went to Anfield we lost 5-0 and had to contend with Liverpool thugs in the Anfield Road end
Think it was 1973?

Was it Morton Gamst Pedersen?

He’s still playing for Tromsø. Can’t be much younger than me!

Me too. Didn't we beat them 1-0 at home that season as well ? I went the following season too and think we lost 1-0 to a Ray Kennedy goal.

I think we did, yes. As I recall Colin Franks almost nicked it late on with a breakaway at Anfield in 74, but panicked & the chance went.

I've been there twice in the 4 original Prem seasons. Saw a loss, and the flo win. I don't rem the away being full at the flo one. Anyone else remember? I can't imagine why, so I'm not sure if wrong.

Has anyone ever found footage of the Gerrard dive on youtube? I never found any.

Remember that one well.Stead got our goal but I just knew Pedersen wouldn’t miss from the edge of the box.

After one game we’ve already equalled that points tally from these fixtures.

And scored that infamous goal!

Is there a story behind that all blue kit, Silent? As far as I know it was the only time we ever wore it. If anybody would know its you!
It was our change kit for that season. The first time we wore it was in the 3-2 defeat at Stoke in October 1974. My dad was at the match and in his letter to me (I was at boarding school), he expressed his surprise that we were wearing all blue. Neither my dad or I were at the Boro match inBoxing Day 1974 so I assume we wore all blue too (anyone in here remember the match?). The first time I saw us wearing the kit was in the 1-0 defeat at Arsenal on Easter Monday 1975 (TC pictured before the kick off)

Yes , beat them 1-0 at home as I recall, night match,Terry Nicholl scored I think ?

Liverpool away we lose 4-0. Two penalties in first 30 mins. Warnock blames ref saying Gerard bought them. Then asked why we were still so negative and he said that if we had played an attacking game we would have got stuffed!!!
One of those I remember Gerrard drawing the ref’s attention before a corner came in, then he grabbed Kozzy round the waist and hurled himself over.
Not even that tbh – if we’d just conceded two fewer goals in any of the losses we’d have stayed up on goal difference. A 3-0 loss at Anfield and 2-0 loss at Arsenal would have done it.
Jags scored one of the Arsenal goals, which he clearly did on purpose to engineer a move to Everton 🙄

No was 1-1, Morten Gamst Pederson blitzed one in. Wasn't even a free kick!

Remember standing on the Annie road end singing we’ll win again don’t know where don’t know when but I know we’ll win again some Saturday.
We were being well and truly hammered but the scouse barstuards applauded our support.

Also remember just having left the Arkle pub before the scum attacked it with bricks etc. Hitting blades women and kids as they ran out to avoid the missiles :—— scum
