I have to say, the spelling and punctuation over there is an absolute disgrace compared to over here. Good show, Blades. Good show.

Reading that is pretty funny, but then i wouldn't get too cocky. The amount of times the derby goes completely against the form guide, or one team dominates the other and still gets beaten, is too often to make confident predictions.

Totally agree tomtheblade. They now become the underdogs on form alone.

We need to be careful. We haven't got a result in big games for a while and we need to avoid the upset.

We can play and beat sides like bury, Yeovil and Wycombe quite easily, but we struggle against the teams at the higher end of the table.

Goes without saying that we'll need to be on our guard for this one, ready for the dirty tricks but stick to our game and we should make a show of it.

Discipline, professionalism are what we need. Don't get dragged down to their level ... Are we listening mr Beattie

A common misperception but not true.

We are 3rd in the table for games against the top half of the table behind Stevenage and the run away leaders Charlton.

Interestingly Wednesday are 11th in that particular table so whilst I agree that derbies rarely go to form the stats indicate that we have little to fear.

To add to that, Wednesday are top of the table for games against the bottom half by some distance whilst we are third again.

To me that would indicate that they are good at turning over the poor teams but are poor themselves when they come up against the better teams, like us :-)

You guys are right about derbies, the form guide goes out of the window. Many derbies end in draws, and this one might go the same way. Would love to stuff em though. Also I agree we need to be on our guard, last thing we need is over confidence.
That said it's nice to see em squirming. :)

Let's be honest, over the years W*dn*sd*y seem to hit bad form in the 3 or 4 games before the derby on many occassions but are always fired up for our game. Their twat of a manager will have them so riled up for it that the form is going to mean absolutely nothing.

If we get 4 points out of our next two games we'll be in an excellent position going into it, with games in hand and a far superior goal difference. Looking at it now, they HAVE to beat us to give themselves breathing space. The pressure's all on them to win as it stands in my opinion.

Win Tuesday and I genuinely think we can come away from the rust bucket with 3 points. Never optimistic about these games though, they always seem to turn up

god its like the best feeling when you read there posts so refreshing look at how the tables have turned since the fist derby game ha

This is probably the most dreaded aspect of the forth coming derby. We have decent, honest, young footballers who go about their game looking at what they can do for themselves and the team in order to win.

Whereas the pigs, for years, have resorted to ruining the derbies with gamesmanship tactics. I wonder if they'll have set out two players to try and force quinny off injured like last time? whether that cunt of the highest/fullest/most extortionate order will try force another Blades face into his own head again and I wonder if that gigner twat has his very own scarf with him to run about the sideline with if those twats manage once again to force the ball into our net through sheer physical brutality.

I fucking hate wednesday

anti football meets Danny boys silky passing game

a true clash of ethos
humpah lumpahs v artisans of the caressed ball
neanderthals v modern homo sapiens

to be fair ,almost every week on porktalk their latest opponents go on after a week of being abused and belittled as tinpot ,small club and generally looked down on and explain to the grunters that they are the most arogant fans in football and that their hoofball is painful to watch

and every week they are met with the same inane responses from the MASSIVE that even venturing on to their board means you are obsessed with them

they dont like people telling them the truth ,but after every week (this week its exeters fans giving it back ) they simply reset to default mode and forget that nearly every team they have played this season has told them they are not MASSIVE ,their hoofball is shit they are deluded and arrogant and megson is a ginger twat

yet somehow they seem to think we are the most hated team in english football ,cant remember anyone outsdie west ham saying these kind of things about us

But against teams in the top 6 it is a different picture, where we have by far the worst record:

Charlton: P7 W4 D2 L1 Pts 14
Stevange P6 W4 D0 L2 pts 12
Huddersfield P6 W2 D3 L1 pts 9
Wednesday P7 W1 D4 L2, pts 7
MK Dons P8 W1 D4 L3 pts 7
United: P6 W1 D1 L4, pts 4.

Ha were certainly gaining more friends nowadays.

Are they still infiltrating the Blackpool boards?

Thanks Darren, saved me a job.

I had to laugh at this post;

we've been shite in a few games fair enough but enough with bent threads like this, bet those piggy c^nts are loving seeing shite like this as they no doubt will being so fucking obsessed with us,
Next thing some cod canyon will make a thread about being scared of their fans coming to the fortress, which they will also love as they think they are 10 men and we are all fannys for some strange deluded reason.

fook them, and fook their small cock syndrome mentality, we wont lose, BELIEVE !!!!!

The truth hurts
the truth is Wednesday this millenium have been a lower championship division 1 side
They cant offer one outstanding result in a year starting with a 2
and as its 12 years since they graced the top flight youd have to be in your twenties to see them as a prem club by memory

Win on Tuesday, and, from a season long perspective, we don't need to win at the sty. Lose on Tuesday however....

If we could do to them what West Brom did to Wolves today, i think i'd be just about satisfied with that :D

Ah but we've still got 4 games to go in that table.

4 wins will give us 16pts and we will be very near the top ;-)

Draws at Huddersfield and Wednesday and wins v Preston and Scunthorpe will do just fine and see us hot favourtites for second.

Wendy have got to play Stevenage on Tuesday - looking at Darren's table that could be quite tricky and the one below emphasises that fact too.

# Team Last 6 Home Games Last 6 Away Games Last 6 Combined GD Pts Streak
1 Stevenage DWDWLW DDWWWD WWLWDW +11 13 1W
2 Charlton Athletic WWDWWD WDWLWW LWWWWD +4 13 1D
3 Sheffield United WWWWWW LWWLWL WLWWLW +10 12 1W
4 Huddersfield Town LWDWWD WLDDWD DWWWDD +8 12 2D
5 AFC Bournemouth DLWWWW WDWDLD DWWLWD +3 11 1D
6 Carlisle United WDWWDW DLWDDL DWWDLW +1 11 1W
7 Leyton Orient DWLWDL WLWWLW WWLDWL 0 10 1L
8 Hartlepool United LLLWWD WLWLDD LWDDWD +5 9 1D
9 Sheffield Wed WDWLDW WLWWDL LDWDWL +1 8 1L

And they are not certain to get anything against ChesVegas at the Weekend neither.

It could be that we are more than 3 points ahead of them with a game in hand even before the game at the Sty - so the pressure will really be on them.

I also state that at the game at BDTBL earlier this season they played as well as they could (and were still crap) but we could have played better. On the day if the two teams perform to their best then we will easily win.

the above form table shows Wednesday have gone from collecting 2 points per game with Marshall , minimum requirement for a play off spo/ auto down 25% to 1.5 points per game
we hold our consistancy at , 2.ppg last 6

In the first derby game I sensed that we ran out of steam due to the nervous energy from being 2-0 up. I felt it on the kop that the release of tension was exhausting and that appeared to be mirrored in the players. Sure the pigs raised their game a little but I thought it was cos we were mentally drained from the euphoria of going two goals up.

Would love it if we can demolish them like the baggies did Wolves today. That would be soooo sweet.
