Exactly, moving peck to RB was just going to leave us with Souza in the middle
Even more bizarre. Him, Brewster and Campbell aren't 'fit to start' the game, but come on and play 40 minutes anyway....

He really panicked today and under pressure made some ridiculous decisions. Players will see this too....

I think it was right to bring them on, were bringing players back slowly from injury as much as possible, we certainly underestimated hulls midfield but it was almost contained for much of the game apart from the counter. Like Swansea we were also getting hit down the fullbacks. So getting Souza on second half was smart as he could sit alongside peck and Burrows back in at LB

For as bad as Gilchrist was, shocking to be fair, with the exception of Baltiste, we didn’t have anyone to play rb without moving Baptiste or Anel out there. Again, leaving Gilchrist on and not disrupting was perhaps better. He was getting forward better before their 2nd

Brewster and Campbell on, initially worked but O’Hare gave us nothing, he needed to be pulled for me as he wasn’t linking anything, everything he did was for himself , half chances

Rak Sakyi came into a crowded part of the pitch, he could’ve and should’ve been a straight swap for O’Hare

Peck needed to be in the centre along Souza. We ended up with just Souza, burrows trying to support and a tonne of strikers and attackers trying to also get on the end of attacking full back, pecks crosses

One to forget

I’ll throw one in, whether there’s anything in it I don’t know. Prior to kick off the back 4 went to do their final warm up. The ref and linesmen were warming up directly opposite the family stand. Robbo went over pointing and telling them to move out of the way, not in an obvious friendly way and go towards the half way line. The three of them went away looking peed off and were muttering to each other. Thought to myself at the time we’ll not get anything tonight from these officials now. Grasping at straws I know but it’s certainly crossed my mind.

Reminds me of when my neighbour was just about to have an op on his throat and decided to comment on the delay.
He told me the bloke doing the op put his hand on his shoulder and whispered, "Now's not the time to piss off your surgeon!"

Exactly. Got in the pub after the game and they were showing the goals. Our disallowed goal was very tight.

I've seen and heard plenty tonight about how lucky Hull were. If that game tonight had been reversed and anyone had suggested we'd been lucky, the same people would have taken the piss.

We deserved to lose and the officials weren't to blame.
Hull not so much Lucky but everthing went their way
1st goal seen them mostly blaze over
2nd he stuck a foot out and it went in but could have gone anywhere
Our goal differant lino and we score
Hull played well but the gods were with them
onwards and upwards
UTB

Not sure I'd call a very well executed shot from just outside the box an example of things in their way tbh
but you have seen them missed? it was a well taken goal
Hull played well but the gods were with them last night
But not for us, was it 12 corners, and not once did the 2nd ball drop to us sometimes games are like that

Though Peck looked knackered and Brewster fed Campbell for the disallowed goal.
Brewster flicked it on to Campbell when he was playing as a striker and 10 minutes before he switched to centre mid.

But don't let facts get in the way of a sarcy comment....

Sunderland only managed a point today at home to Plymouth - fact.
Not sure what that's got to do with discussing Tuftys tactical faux pax, but again, don't let the real world get in the way of your online outrage....

Face it we were crap
we were diabolical in truth but doesnt alter the fact that both linesmen got 1 crucial decision wrong hulls left back was playing brewster on for our dissallowed goal and lad came back from an offside position for hulls 2nd both were shown on stills on sky if it had been a premier league game both decisions would have been overturned by var

Yep, it started off badly, tailed off in the middle, and the least said about the end...the better. But apart from that, it was excellent.

United/CWs performance last night was a real Baldrick's poem.
Ah, the old German Guns ditty :)

Agreed but still don't want VAR

no me neither but 2 poor decisions by both linesmen i think if campbells goal had stood we would have won that game
Hull's second wasn't offside. He was level when the ball was played, in the rules as played in non-VAR matches.

Your first goal wasn't offside either. If Mike Dean thinks that VAR can judge offside to within 3 inches, then he is a fool. A sprinting player covers more than 3 inches in 1-hundredth of a second, and VAR technology runs off less than 100 frames per second film. Your man was level at worst in the proper application of the offside rule.

if you look on the stills for hulls 2nd the lad who scored came back from an offside position not by much but var would have ruled that out even hinchcliffe the pig who is always anti united said both were bad decisions

It doesn't matter what VAR would have done, VAR plays by different rules, where offside is determined to the nearest inch by a machine that can't judge it that finely. In non-VAR games, if it's too close to call with the naked eye, it's not offside because it's level.

well i thought it looked quite clear on tv stills that brewster was onside so just a human error imo but do think if that had counted we win that game hull did a number on us but 3 - 0 flattered em watched the burnley leeds game and thought burnley got what they set out to get a point
