Player Suggestion Lewis McGugan

Apologies, as wasn't sure where to stick this thread as he's not rumoured to be linked to ourselves but:

Pork Talk saying he's off to Bolton on loan

If so, would be a good signing for them. Odd no Champs clubs have been in for him?

Already the pig comments are out hoping he derails our promotion push :D
Was just about to post this as well, heard he was heading to Bolton.

Saw that a few on here had suggested we have a look ourselves.

However, like a grunter friend of mine pointed out SWFC seem to have double standards at moment - McGugan refuses to play centrally and gets outcast to the reserves, a certain diving t**t refuses to play all together and gets a new contract. Fickle football.

Terrible attitude. Refuses to take part in certain elements of training as "they didn't make us do this shit at Watford". Bolton are welcome to him

The absolute state of that 'transfer embargo'.

Wonder what kind of wages he's on? Must be mid to top end Championship. I'd be surprised if they don't add a loan striker on massive wages too.

Would him going there mean that Clough is on his way from Bolton?

Hopefully. There have been noises of "we don't have to sell" variety though. They've lost Sammy Ameobi and kept James Henry so far, as far as I know. He could just be seen as a replacement for Ameobi.

Had a look on Boltons forum last night.
Not sure if it's their owner/part owner, but he was saying the priority was holding on to their players and they had received no offers. Which to me sounded like don't expect any transfers in, just be thankful no one leaves.
Also on there was a rumour that Ameobi had been recalled by Newcastle because Bolton hadn't paid the loan fee.
Apparently there is a short fall in their finances by £800,000 a month.
They also don't seem to have filed their accounts which seems linked to their transfer embargo.
They are also linked to Alf but they don't seem to think they could afford him unless Cardiff payed all his wages.
But the comment that really got me was that they could only sign certain types of loan, not sure what that means. Surely you can or can't sign players.
They are all posts on a football forum so could all be bullshit.
But It does all seems a right mess over there, so I guess you have to give them some credit for being in the top 3.

Please disinfect yourself and sanitise your hands before coming back on here from there.

There's been a shortfall in our finances for around the last eight years. Providing the owner is prepared to fund it, it doesn't really matter.

From the Pigs to the Trotters

They send their old washing machines there too.

Where washing machines go to die..........................

Quality player but obviously has some sort of attitude problem.

Also wages wouldn't be cheap either for a guy who doesn't mind being on the sidelines.

That said a lot of Wednesday players have been frozen out under Carlos, most of whom he signed. Maybe not all of them are buying into his system.

Well known to have an attitude problem and is of the opinion that he's far better than he actually is.

Pretty much the complete antithesis of a CW type of player.

Has Premier league ability, but his attitude and temperament has always let him down.

Wilder would not touch him with a barge pole.

Do we really need to be chasing more pig players?

It's a big wide world out there and I know it's a guess but I suspect there's 100's of players out there with a more professional, do or die attitude to fight for the cause than another half hearted pig

Doesn't matter to me if they are ex pig players or not . As long as they are good enough , committed to the cause and a asset. This McGuggan bloke doesn't fall into any of theses categories .

If you can bear the thought of another ex-Owl joining our club then how about this guy?

28 years old - talented midfielder - and available on a free.

Could he do a job for us?

Apparently Carlos has told him he can leave, because he doesn't fit into the way they want to play. Would he suit the way we want to play? Is it about that, or is the guy just a load of trouble, for whatever reason?

It seems odd that he started out so well for Wednesday two seasons ago and was their outstanding player - then he disappears off the face of the earth. So, maybe there's some baggage there that we don't want to entertain? Or maybe he's just had nose pushed out of joint and would be an absolutely great signing for us?

Thoughts?
