The Pigs think they have arrived back in the big time? Really? Oh what a night, late September on a Sunday night.................................... Hav'nt had an average gate of over 30k since 1967, ground is falling down (coucil still think its world cup quality) and famous fans are?

The lead singer of Reverend and the Wankers, the bloke who sang Over My Shoulder, Jamie "Steptoe" Vardy, Peters and Lee, Roy Hattersley, Clinton Woods, Alex Turner, and as much as it pains me to say this Jarvis Cocker and Martyn Ware.
Martyn ware what a cunt , I once let him in hofbraus cause he told us he was a blade

Talking of Duffy, we signed him on this day in 2016 according to a page on twitter

Why ??

Wernt the match on in the early afternoon? Never really understood that part of the song.

A few minutes is a mere drop in the ocean of the cosmic consciousness in which Wednesday now exist.

I've said this before on shoutbox but I'll say it again, granted I didn't say all of this on shoutbox as that would be a long post! Getting promoted is great and they did it the best way possible after the way they came back v (a woeful Peterborough) and then in the last minute v Barnsley. But, going up is only back to where they were in the second division and any Wednesdayite knows there is a huge difference between going up to the Championship and then having a team capable of going up again. When we did it under Wilder with one season in between we had a nucleus of players in the 23 - 26 age range and some very good players at that, we all know the players. We also sold Brooks for £10m and brought in Norwood (best centre mid in the Championship that season in my view) and Egan, one of the best centre backs. We had an amazing manager to boot.

Wednesday's squad is much older, very few under 28 other than squad players who Wednesday fans don't rate like Bakinson. They're no better off the field with talk of the Academy closing and even if it's open it may as well be closed. So, personally them going up makes little difference unless they spend big this summer which I doubt they'll do. They still have Chansiri in charge who has no idea how to run the club, he's still fleecing the fans, the fans are still divided on Moore. In essence they're not better off than the likes of Bristol City and Preston who haven't ever graced the top flight since the PL started. They may do a Millwall or a Luton and make the play offs in the next season or two but they'll need much better players to do that and teams with parachute payments continue to dominate the automatic spots. So let them have their moment, wave their flags and think that taking 44,000 to Wembley means that they are a big club destined for the Premier League.

Many Wednesday fans still haven't woken up to the Premier League era where clubs that are well run and/or bankrolled are the teams that do well, clubs like Brentford, Brighton, Fulham and Bournemouth as opposed to Leeds and Wednesday and till recently Forest that have all struggled to re-establish themselves in the top flight because they've been run so badly and they have spent money Leeds and Wednesday have spent it terribly. They're one stop closer to the PL on paper but in reality they're barely any closer in the Championship than they were in League One to the PL.

I've not even touched on the ground and how much that needs spending on it.

Sence

If anyone was listening to radio 5 the day after their win at Wembley u wI’d think they were talking about the 2nd coming of Christ
they are massive with the best fans in the world and so well behaved Wembley would welcome them back with open arms
fuck it much rather be a Neanderthal blade

Should add that Wednesday were the third best supported team last season in the league last year since they pride themselves on attendances! Top was Derby County followed by Ipswich Town before Wednesday! If Wednesday are massive what does that make Derby County and Ipswich? Probably just Derby County and Ipswich Town!

With the pigs it’s more like the 6th or 7th coming of Christ…As we’ve heard it all before.

unless they bring 6/7 good championship players in their gonna be in a relegation battle next season no doubt about it their still a million miles away from the premier league patterson talking absolute bollox about em getting promoted again next season and their fans are such hypocrits i often take a peek on pigtalk and their hypocricy is unrivalled the abuse darren moore got all season and especially after the first leg of the semi final was vicious now all of a sudden hes their hero they really are an arrogant deluded set of fans oh and their hero on the pitch josh windass would give his right arm to play for united know that for a fact utb ftp ⚔⚔⚔

Let's face it, their last game of the season was a real "Sliding Doors" moment for them. They struggled against 10 man Derby County, and apart from the penalty, couldn't score. I have no doubt that if Derby had gone into the play-offs, against them, rather that Peterborough, Derby would have scraped through.

The Play-off final was the same, struggling against 10-man Barnsley.

piggies famous fans FFS
reverand and the one hit wonders
his brother whos sole claim to fame is hes on an album cover and also does a comedy thing on the internet about a sunday league coach

Noticed the difference in media coverage, when it's us it's the usual "can the blades do it" opposed to the "COME ON WEDNESDAY" from the star, Sheffield online etc. Just reminds us of how good it is to laugh at them

you would have thought they had won the champions league the way they are celebrating and bragging and the 2 faced hypocricy towards darren moore is nothing short of unbelievable the amount of abuse that bloke got on social media and pigtalk after the first leg of the play off semi was an absolute disgrace now hes their hero just shows the sort of fans theyve got mind the once a season 20k they took to wembley will be back in the cupboard now

yeah they are a deluded lot some are even saying their going up again next season when in the real world their gonna have a tough job avoiding relegation back to league 1 the championship is going to be very strong next season lots of big clubs in there theyve absolutely zero chance of promotion
