2. If thousands of us put £1 bets on Chris Wilder to become our new manager the odds will tumble like this:

Sort of like with Gamestop

4. Then maybe Chris and the club will see the strength of support he has and ultimately try to make amends and start afresh for next season.

This isn't entirely unprecedented. Zidane left Real Madrid and returned less than a year later after arguing then resolving with the board.

I firmly believe that Chris Wilder is the right person to get us up next season. With that said a break for the rest of the season will do him a lot of good.

Klopp and Guardiola took time out of the game so there's nothing wrong for him to do so as well.

I hope that, should we go down, that when the board considers it's new manager that Wilder is in the frame and similarly Wilder feels that he can work here again realising that there is no place better for him:

You are such a Richard Head

Outrageous, if this was posted in March 2021 or something I'd understand but it wasn't. It could only have been posted today.

One day i think he will come back. Once the club are in a better situation off the pitch financially and with upgraded facilities. Never say never and lets be honest, CW has unfinished business with Blades now.
So a bloke who’s failed at 2 previous Championship clubs needs to wait until we have more millions to spend before he’ll come back?
And we’ll want the bloke who signed Brewster, Robinson, Burke and Freeman to spend these millions. Madness!

We’ll have get to the back of the very long queue for Chris Wilders services?….Oh right…Just us then.

No one can take away from CW what he did for us - he gave us first Championship, then Premier league football from a time where we were kicking around mid table in league 1

He also gave us an identity, put the pigs in their place and created a feel good factor that even Warnock didnt manage imo.

However - that wasnt the ending we all wanted

What we saw thereafter was Chris believing his ow hype, as such nothing was his fault - the players werent good enough (even tho they were the year before) the board didnt back him (despite throwing millions on Brewster, McB, Robinson, Burke etc)
Like the captain on the Costa Concordia he jumped out when he had in effect relegated us by Xmas, but unable to accept blame, he took the club for a few million

Since then he has failed at Boro, failed at Watford - both in the Championship

In this time, PH almost got us up having rescued us from Slav, then did get us up against a backdrop of an embargo
He has brought in and developed players like Anel, Doyle, McAtee - and now Souza, Hamer and Archer
All whilst maintaining dignity and a self assured calmness whilst losing Berge and Ndaiye

The gap in class between the 2 is noticeable, no one expected us to be anywhere but where we are right now, so think/hope this is a no starter

Personally I would keep PH on, unless he loses the dressing room even if we go down

However should the board decide its time for a change, as a EPL team with a decent squad, we should be aiming higher than CW

Sometimes theres a right place right time feel, this was Wilders - 9th place finish saw him riding the crest of a wave, possible England manager, appearances on MOTD etc
Now hes muted for jobs like Reading and Hibs - sad really.

Point still stands. The clubs moved on. Stop living in the past!

What's the inside scoop on it? Can we expect Wilder back any time soon?

Clubs moved. I have moved on. I dont want him back. I was just saying i think he will come back one day. Also one day the kop will have the pillars removed. And Kyle Walker and Billy have returned to coach us. And wendy are still on their way…..

FMBlade1 called it first.... though not in the circumstances I would have imagined
