Out of interest, does JCR actually get many assists? It's a genuine question

He's actually a player I like, but it's the frustrating performances that he puts in which pisses me off. It's not inconsistent form and it's not lack of effort, it's just this desire to beat his man time and time again and frustrate our own strikers.

His last decent performance for me was in January in the cup at QPR, he was fantastic that day

We need to shell some cash on young hungry players. Yet because we don't pay transfer fees (yeh I know Brayford) we won't pick up promising players who cost money from teams around us and the division below.

The trouble is that the fans have the power to change the way the football clubs are ran however we dont bother, if we all decided to stop buying merchandise, programs, signing up our kids to be junior blades and most of all staying away on match days they would have to do something about it!! Its incredible how its come to this . 11th In League One. I wonder how the players feel when everyone in the media says things like "pre-season favourites, biggest club in the league, one of the biggest wage bills" then they look at the league and see just how badly they are doing

There is no quick solution. We have to stay up this season then a complete clear out is needed but I have to admit Adkins signings do worry me.

They won't care one jot. The lot of them sicken me to the gut. If they had a quarter as much passion as we the fans that would die to play one game on that pitch we'd win the league by February

Thing is with that comparison BTL, Saints were in an even worse position when he took over at the end of September, so while they were ninth they had a squad of future internationals and talent who were on a roll and despatching teams 4 nil.

We have a bunch of overpaid, gutless players, many of whom have careers on the wane who are stagnating at best.

Forgive me if for this season I don't share your optimism.

Did anyone watch that class of 92 programme about Salford City?

Thought it was a great two part documentary and, while 4 levels below us, had a team with the biggest budget in the league by far struggling to win games. They got in two managers who were ex army, they were much stricter on the players, binned off the useless ones and got them winning games with a lot of passion and a rocket up their arses. We need better personell but, until we do, I think we need to go back to basics in a similar way.

I think the main difference was that the players weren't on long term contracts so they could just get rid of ten of them. I think one of the player/owners made the point that their man management style wouldn't work in league football.

The other thing is that the first management team were shit, jokers. They didn't even train the players properly. It wouldn't have taken Mourinho to improve on those two chancers.

Indeed and I am not advocating getting rid of Adkins and bringing in those two! But there are parralels in the fact that they were a big fish in that leagie thanks to the owners and, as the manager said, other teams will have an extra 10 per cent against them so they had to start with an extra 15 per cent.

Similar for us but we don't seem to do that which means we are often second baest in the first half an hour of games. I do think some of our players need a rocket up their arses before the game.

I am going to stay strong. For better or worse his starting 11 is getting more settled and he's just moving them around a bit till it hopefully works.

Ok we struggled today but finished strongly, but we know we can win 3 in a row so it's in us.
