Could this be Leon's move?
Dont think he has an option unless he's happy to not play football until January.Wont Leon be on about 20kpw? I highly doubt Rotherham could afford that? and surely the big man wouldn't want to drop down to League 1? but you never know.
Don’t think I would be too upset on 20k p/wDont think he has an option unless he's happy to not play football until January.
Very true. Shame that’s the way it is but can’t blame them either.Don’t think I would be too upset on 20k p/w
That's a delightA Turkish side wants him.
I think we need a "groan" button option for that !That's a delight
Smile mate life is too shortI think we need a "groan" button option for that !
A Turkish side wants him.
Unless there are rules against it, why not give him a squad number and get him playing in the Cup games?
I would assume Clarke and co were hoping the club would pay up there contracts ,United not played ball.Carutthers gone with a pay off with Cambridge paying him a wage the settlement would have been negotiated .Cant believe he has got a big pay off. He's mid twenties so trying to build his career again,Leon was never going anywhere IMO and to be honest I can see him waiting to be released at the end of the season.
We look at it from having a love for our club, but realistically only a handful of players in football would genuinely say they love the club they play for.
It’s a job to most and for Leon he’s possibly on the best money of his career which is not far from ending. He’s probably retired in his head.
He might pop up next year on a reasonable contract in L2 or the Conference near the West Midlands.
The good thing from our point of view (I think) is that all the ‘hangers on’ are out of contract this season, so it’s not going to harm us too much with the income we’ve got this year.
To be fair to Clarke, if United offered him a bumper contract, then that's on them. Clarkes in his mid thirties now and is probably thinking that it might be better for his family if he sat it out, saved the money and then looked at what was out there next season.
