It's a horrific decision, but it's not no different to any other time an incorrect decision is made.
Just because 'technology' is involved, it doesn't make a wrong decision any more wrong.

Even using the 'VAR overturns' figures that have been published to show who has benefited most from technology, it's does not show any kind of evidence of technology being there to help the 'Big Clubs'......

How do you explain the 'technology' wanting Leicester to get Champions League football, over Arsenal and Chelsea?
Or Everton and West Ham being treated worse than Brighton/Palace/Burnley despite being 'Bigger Clubs'?

My point is not that there is corruption, it's that big clubs don't let issues like these drop and they don't care what the football community thinks of them.

That said how do you explain the Italian match fixing scandal....

Do we get a trophy or European football for taking the moral high ground? When has taking the moral high ground ever got us anywhere? Since when should we give a **** what the football community thinks of us?

If it was one of the big 6 they'd have stood shouting at the ref until he reviewed the incident on his screen. The game is gone now, legal action is futile as it can't be proved that it actually cost us anything other than a goal.

If you are a legally minded individual defending hawkeye you only have to refer back to last season's game at Villa Park and show that even at 3 nil up with 10 mins left we drew 3-3, it's not a difficult one to defend. How can they give us 3 points when there are so many variables in a game of football that we don't know if it would have led to 3 points?!

All I'd suggest is putting pressure on the PL to make some kind of apology for the shitshow that was the VAR process and explain (without lying) why it didn't review the incident.

Are you suggesting that Wilder is 'on the take' too then?
He didn't look desperate for the win, so clearly he was match fixing a 0-0?

What I mean is that you were suggesting that corruption doesn't happen in football. I provided an historical example to the contrary.

If I was a bent ref looking to fix the game, I’d have just given a pen when the Villa player fell over after slight contact from Lundstram. It would have been soft but some pens are. I wouldn’t rule out a legitimate goal when the whole world was watching. Especially when I’d have to get Hawkeye involved in the process, because I’d expect them to tell me to fuck off and report me.

You can't bring up corruption, and talk about 'the big clubs getting the advantage'.....And then claim, you're not "Suggesting anything of the kind".
I'm not suggesting corruption doesn't happen in football, but you must first understand the differences between Serie A/Premier League, before you try to make a comparison, which i'm not sure you do.


I could try and make a case that Wilder's lack of attacking intent and him not voicing much frustration after the game as being evidence of him also being involved in the match fixing of a 0-0.
It would probably be as valid as what you're claiming.
