Opinion in our part of John St was that he was the best player on the park in the first half (Yeats in the second). Given we're short at the back - get him signed up today!

Not sure he was the best player in the first half but he had a steady game and I think we should look at him. Agree on Yeates, he looked lively in the second half and unlucky not to score. I was pleased with him.

To be fair Lou that's just his agent talking and the phrase "If we agree about the financial details" means it's far from a done deal !

Absolutely and the same thought crossed my mind, but you dont know how far away or how close both parties terms are.....it could be finer details of it. He's speaking with optimism so it doesnt sound to far away to me.

Having said that.....there is always the danger he is trying to drum up interest from elsewhere. We shall see.

I thought he looked rusty more than anything, he was looking for the right passes but sometimes they didn't come off. Compare with Kozzy who came on and was guilty of aimless lumps forward every time he got the ball.

As an aside, does anyone know what's happening with Calve? I know he was meant to be training with Blackpool but now it looks like they might be signing Rangel from Swansea, any chance of him coming back to us?

He played in Blackpool's latest friendly defeat at Brizzle on Saturday but I understand Holloway wasn't even there to see the game. As an aside, they're now down to 14 fit contracted players (including Jason Euell), three of which are keepers :)

I heard reliably the Mr Bodnar could be facing a term in prison back in Hungary....

Depends, he's been on probation for about a year.
