He’s fucking gash! We’ve seen Soumare get rolled over by Norwich’s midfield who are shite and now he’s coming up against West Brom who have a few decent central midfielders like Mowatt. We saw that the midfield was the problem last game and he starts again.

Sorry to be negative but hopefully Riedewald can carry the midfield. UTB

I have to agree. I'd been prepared to give Soumare the benefit of the doubt as he's not really featured and when he has he's looked OK.

Unfortunately his performance on Tuesday was one of the worst performances I've seen in a Blades shirt for as long as I can remember.

Not sure Hamer has the athleticism to get up and down the pitch that the number 8 role requires?

To be fair to other posters Maurice, the concern they show regarding Soumare is understandable. He really was awful on Tuesday but we will see.

A small sample size, but when he came on for a few mins vs Hull he showed touch, willingness to carry it, and fired more accurate forward passes than the rest of the team had in an hour of play.

Yet at other times he looks his wiring was done at an Alfa Romeo factory.
