Kyle walker

Danger is we push the boat out on one good player at this level but can only afford to surround him with very average players at this level they’ll dilute any advantage he brings.
Plus as sentimental as he is about finishing his career here, his social life is west of the Pennines. Burnley is easy from Manchester, Sheffield is not an easy commute in the football months. I know, commuted by car for 8 years.
I don't think location is an issue, he'd just buy something here if he hasn't got something alreaady. He doesn't need a high salary and I don't think he will demand one. He might just fit in nicely into the squad budget?

I wonder what Wilder is plotting.

If Kyle comes back and Philips signs then where does that leave Seriki?

Do we end up playing 3-5-2 again with Walker RCB and Phillips in the Norwood/Coutts role with Seriki at RWB?

Or does Seriki play on the wing? Brooks seems settled on the right.

Do you have some sort of inverted midfield three with left footed Brooks on the right and right footed Peck or Arblaster on the left? Don’t mind that dynamic.

It seems a shame to just get Walker but then sideline Seriki. But of course you need a back up plan if one is not available.

It takes less than 8 years to get over the snake pass 🤷‍♂️

Maybe we are cashing in on Femi. We definitely need to sell. I'm already prepared for Hamer and Peck departing but if we want to pay Walker's wages we will probably need to offload more.

Would welcome Kyle if a deal could be worked out, but I wouldn't swap him for Femi.

I get the impression that Wilder isn’t the biggest fan of Seriki. Wouldn’t surprise me if walker was brought in as first choice to make Seriki the backup.

I saw in The Guardian today that in the Premier League summary, the Burnley fan named Walker as their biggest let-down of the season.

Not quite from the horses mouth but from someone that knows both Wilder and Walker.
Only bit of genuine ITK info I have ever been told.
He's coming back as captain next season.

That’s proper Top Bled Bladey Blade stuff. Walker in a back 3 in the Championship would be something, well I hope it would, jury’s out. I’d take him, but i’m not as confident as some that he’d be immense. Maybe moving back from Cheshire might be a good thing?

Not sure if Walker woukd be immense, but I am certain he would be immeasurable better playing at centre half than McGuiness
